Difference between pull out test and yield load

Yield strength means when maximum strength is applied to elastic material it's withhold without permanent deformation and when maximum strength is applied to elastic material it result in breaking which is called as ultimate strength. The pull out load is maximum 80% of Yield load.

Please explain difference between Bolt and anchor Rockbolt and sda

  • @omkar.mishra

Bolt and anchor as my knowledge is similar think but when we used bar for rock bolt, we use to say SN (Store Norfors) - this name by who discovered this design. SDA is Self drilling Anchor, we use anchor with drilling bit to drill the hole and after drilling we grouted it self with the help of its centre hole. Anchor word coming from anchoring and bolt is who anchor. Thanks

@@omkar.mishra i tunneling We used rockbolt in the side and top 25mm-32mm .but sda is ? Which is more strong for lose supporters

@@BookingVideos_com if we use SN 25mm dia of rockbolt, we want a clear hole but in poor class of rock it is not possible because hole is going collapse that’s case we use self drilling anchor. And rockbolt strength decided with its TS and YS.
