    Its a southern type of rock and roll mixed with blues or country music. Lots of early rock n roll from the 1950s was rockabilly. Popular with the Greaser subculture.

I mean lou reed singing about heroin and sex whilst the Beatles was singing about love and puppies or whatever just proves that lou reed was ahead of his time and really changed the course of music history which gave musicians the ability to sing about real life issues without being criticised anymore because lou reed made it less taboo to talk about such things.

    Industrial rock and psychedelic rock is accurate. Had a co-worker ask what I was listening to at work and she immediately went "oh... that sounds interesting."
