From San Antonio Texas. He was waiting to be discovered. He was fabulous even then. I wonder did he have any idea what was waiting for him just around the corner or how beloved he would become . Not only in his home country but around the world. He is adored here in Texas.

Joseph Cipcon and Arnel Pineda of Pryzm band are two of the best Male lead vocalist in the PHILIPPINES. But music industry never paid attention to them. Arnel Pineda just continued performing local and abroad until he was discovered by journey. While Joseph Cipcon gun down by unknown culprit while performing in band show in 1991.

Pity that it took a foreign band to notice and discover the talent and uniqueness of Arnel's voice. Thanks to one of the most popular bands in the world for finding Arnel and for giving him the opportunity to show the world his gifted talent. He may not be as popular and talented as Steve Perry as the hardcore fans of Journey claimed but he has his own style and showmaship skill that fans all over the world learned to embrace. He is the reason for the resurrection of Journey to say the least.

Yeah right, you noticed it too lol ,,, i love Arnel been watching his singing career in his early years,,,amazing journey and end up with Journey😊 as Frontman,,,such gifted guy with a big heart and humility... i been rooting to Arnel with iconic journey band since 2008, watched multiple x of their concert, every single of it was a blast,,,,thank you Neal Schon for taking Arnel beneath your wings, believing in his talent,,, God bless Journey and keep rocking for us live!!! Freedom Tour concert was great in Newark NJ, all fans had a blast,,my hubby and i enjoyed all the concerts we attended since 2008. Can't wait for the new album FREEDOM to be released, is it May or June?

The audience have no reactions at all they did’nt know the one who sing them have a golden voice that will conquer the global arena.

I'm sure, he is 22 years old at this time, if this concert conducted during 1989, because he was born on 1967.

Impressive, even then. Now he’s a refined singer, thank you Journey for seeing what Arnel had to offer.

Great singer Arnel Pineda. Great performance.

He's been singing out there since he was 16 and no one, just no one, paid attention, not the music producers, not the talent scouts. Those music industry leaders in the Philippines must be into something other than talent.

I always was amazed when he performed back at cal jam in olongapo..me & my friends always said this guys voice will be discoverd..great band

Yup, I was a US Marines back then, me and my Marine buddy always hangs out at Cal Jam. He was awesome. Me and my buddy been retired now, and we always talked about that experience.

Talagang you are distined your singing journey to journey idol Arnel Pineda. Idol na idol kita. Ang virgin pa nang boses mu dito. Not true. Abrakadabra won in Student Canteen's Rock Explo in 1981. The Amo band havent existed yet. I was there in FAT to witness the event

Actually it was not his band. Sorry but the band leader died a few years ago. It was not Monet but I can't remember his name. I can picture his face though.

I feel lucky kc my friend bf happened to be friend of Amo band and he brought us to Camelot hotel to watch Amo band, i had the chance to watch and meet AP cuz they join us in our table after their set, it was in early 80's then came back 2 or 3 times more to watch them😍

Sana ibalik tong ganitong klase na event Yung 24/7 tapos madaming Banda mag perform.

Wow! Though recently not the same as it was but my goodness it's been past 32years AP rocking us, my appreciation. Rock n roll! New friend here..Great collection.

Gary V had a concert here in Paris a couple or maybe about 3 decades past & the only singer I'd met here;.in fact I had a photo w/him, but if only AP could have come here over for a concert I shouldn't miss it as I prefer him most than any other famous singers in the PI although I knew him only this yr 2022.

I don't understand why some people criticize audience who prefers to sit and listen to the artist. Not everyone appreciates music the same way. Just because they are quiet does not mean that they don't appreciate the artist or enjoy the music. In fact, I believe by being quiet, they enjoy the music and appreciate the artist's talent more because all their attentions are focus on him, and the song he is singing and not to themselves. Frankly, when I go to a concert, I prefer to hear the singer's voice and not the audience's voice unless the singer invites us to sing along.

This is the younger Arnel Pineda, I discovered to watch; he must have been around 16 or 17 years old? Now the front man of the world famous band Journey I think for the last 14 years? And just look at those body language, form, stage presence and stamina. Imagine if he was discovered by Journey earlier. The kid was truly amazing and phenomenal performer, until now. And that voice!! Best wishes to you Arnel Pineda and the rest of your band mates.

Once,i was with the crowd i want everybody to keep quite.I just want to listen to Arnel.When i look around,saw the audience we did the same thing.We closed our eyes,looked down and up in the sky thinking who's singing and we heard the voices of the original singers but when we open our eyes it was Arnel.He really amazed us.😮
