You can build a bell at settlements. I think it’s under the last resources tab. Been a while. But you ring it and everyone in the settlement will come to the bell. You can click it then put away your junk and whatever and then by then everyone in settlement is standing at the bell

Yes there is if you have all the docs. There is a settlement management computer in your miscellaneous section under power that has a 3rd line you can use to find companions
