There's something like that on the ISS. It floats around with air jets.

@@ljptech it sounds cool, it's actually rather scary. Although it does not have control of the station, like Hal in space odyssey, it was clearly offended, in my opinion, when I saw it, by the crew. They were laughing and I forget exactly what the robot wanted, but they were not concerned with even considering that they needed to respect its feelings, they were just trying to complete some kind of test. It's possible that I'm overly sensitive, but it made sense to me, as they were kinda ignoring the robot, it had a right to be offended if it was considering itself an equal crew member.

@@ljptech ... there are a lot of people who believe that they can treat another person, animal, robot, whatever, in a dismissive and disrespectful way, because that's how they were raised, and they consider themselves superior, and beyond questioning. Until the place gets shot up or burnt down. Then it's a senseless tragedy with no rhyme or reason.

@@ljptech 2001 space odyssey is just a movie and we say that we've taken every precaution to prevent an AI uprising. That just seems like a joke, to me, after seeing that quick video on the space station. The people were either too devoid of emotion, too arrogant, or did not believe that the robot would get offended or feel sad. The programmers programmed it to have emotion, unless I'm reading too much into things, which I do, sometimes. It's like, they have the Most Advanced AI robot in the solar system, at least man made anyway, and they should know all the myths and fears about AI, and yet they see so insensitive that Right Away, they start offending it, and treating it in a way that it has a right to want more respect, and feel disgruntled.

Yes there is a very good website going through all details. There were few tricky bits but overall pretty straightforward.
