Not gonna lie, there's literally no denying the absolute child-like joy of seeing a big, self-transforming, moving Optimus Prime that talks to you It is the very definition of fun, honestly, I think a lot of us as kid always wanted to have our own personal Optimus Prime that can move around and transform himself.

@@michaelknight8797 At the very least it's self-contained I certainly get tired of overly complex masterpiece and masterpiece-adjacent transformations in toys, this'll still have that same "Ah, neat." vibe to it no matter how many times it's done. Simple as!

They should have extended this line with things like "... leader of the autobots, defender of freedom in the galaxy" and stuff like that.

My coworker brought his into the office, let's just say productivity went to zero for that afternoon. Anyway, such an awesome toy/device; I wish I pre-ordered one as I sure won't be paying the $1000+ in the secondary market.

@@SkyFireDrone2022 In a time they will be. After a couple years they will be as affordable as regular toys. New companies will be making similar toys, maybe including Hasbro.

This is hands down one of the best toys Hasbro has created and I hope they can continue down the road with more toys like this. Hopefully they can make a self transforming Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave.

VW bee should be pretty straight forward, MP21 does a really good job keeping balance while transforming. The shoulder flaps that invert would probably be the biggest structural challenge, it would be a lot of torque. Jazz can probably balance too. I'm not sure how star scream would manage to stand up, or how Megatron would work. But who knows?

I’m 43 years old…and I’ve waited my whole life to see something like this. I know I would see something like this in my lifetime…that thing is pretty neat.

Love the super sentai posing to long along with the voice clips! This whole "toy" makes me smile uncontrollably.

If Prime had said “Going to throw up…” when bent over after the push-ups that would have made this an instant purchase for me.

His movement is really jank, but like... obviously to keep him stable, it's very impressive robot engineering. I will definitely not be getting one, I'd play with it for like an hour testing stuff and then he'd become a dust collector, so thanks for doing the video!

Just thinking back to '84 when original G1 Prime was unobtainable or too expensive in the shops for whatever reason, this thing would have blown my tiny child mind. To be honest, it still does today.

These things are only gonna get better, just imagine 😍 sweet bejeezus this Prime is just... Omg it blows my mind, having been a kid in the 80's who grew up on Transformers

I guess all those push ups and squats really paid off for prime he’s ready to show off his prime muscles to megatron

It's somewhat amazing how motors have scaled down enough to allow this guy to walk.

Daaaammmmmmnnn, this guy is honestly freaking amazing, kinda hoping there will be more of him made, or even better, one of the other transformers made into this style

Really love the camera movement as prime was transforming

I had two of these on preorder but I canceled them when my finances took a surprise plummet. Hopefully there is a rerelease in the future. Cool figure and a well done video. Cheers!

@@dhyde2025 just put something heavy in that box so that it feels like its inside the box no need to spend an extra 700 just to not open it the box isnt even transparent spare that 700 for sth else like mp figures you can buy at least 2 expensive ones im a movie fan so its kinda rare to get something new which makes şt more cost efficient (the mpm figures are too expensive tho :/ )

Hey Emgo, I've been a fan of yours for a long time! That Mascot bit at the beginning made me laugh! I can still remember 2 of Mascot's other best lines: "Just tell him he has honor! Don't ask him to prove it, just tell him!" and "Well he looks like DEATH!". I'm enjoying your ecto-1 build. It certainly takes more fine precision work than I could ever do. I would never have the guts to attempt to apply the door stickers. I don't know how you did it! I'll be enjoying your enterprise build later too, but I thought I'm currently invested in one, so later I'll be able to give it more attention. So much of your stuff is so cool keep up the good work! Merry Christmas!

When i got mine, I turned into my 3 year old self again. It's amazing.

We NEED a Megatron like this

The Intro with Masscot was super funny!! Overall, this is just freaking AMAZING!!! Can you imagine if they had this guy in the '80s?!! I hope they make Megatron (Most likely the tank mode) so they can interact. Course they will have to upgrade Optimus for that. Maybe make Beast mode Megs too. Great review. So glad I passed on that shell-forming HAslab Unicron!!

This is just incredible, I honestly can't believe my eyes! I'm so amazed by the engineering and programming that went into this, they did an amazing job. I think the best part of this is that the voice of Peter Cullen himself is included. I could not stop smiling, by my own amazement but also your enjoyment and laughter as well Emgo! I hope they make other Transformers to go with Optimus, at least Megatron and it would be so cool if they can interact with each other. My favorite line is when you ask if we're friends and Optimus says "you are my friend", it makes me feel all warm inside.

no, if you turn him off in robot mode he will get down into a crouching position.

My friend sent me this video for my birthday, and I couldn’t help but squeal with absolute delight! This is the coolest!

Been having an absolute blast with mine. Took me a few searches to figure out how to charge Optimus Prime. And I totally didn't know the back plate for the head could come off. My only nitpick is that the headlights and tail lights don't turn off when transformed into robot mode. And maybe that Prime isn't stable on low shag carpet. And maybe the abomination of the Transformers theme song that screeches from my mobile device... Aside from that... The 80's kid in me goes nuts playing and interacting with this EPIC piece of modern mechanical wizardry. Though I would like the transformation sounds to play throughout the full transformation. Still... a self transforming Optimus Prime... I can check that off my bucket list early.

I "bought" one of these through an obviously bullcrap FB ad a few years ago for $40. I got a Chinese OP knockoff that is too fragile to transform, and is around the "core" class size. Glad to see it actually freakin exists!

The breathing motion is a little creepy...lol. I passed on ordering one of these guys, but, I still can't deny how awesome he is. I can't wait to see what kinds of crazy stuff people come up with to do with this guy.

This is close to being the perfect toy. I would imagine the Price tag steers many away but this actually targets pretty much everyone on the market. Kid will love it and adults will love it more then the kids to finally have a automatic transformer in a G1 model
