Thanks Ken. Gold has gotten pretty compelling for sure! That 1% deposit match is a big deal! Funny, I use Schwab as my primary broker but find myself spending way more time in the Robinhood app for charts and research because I prefer the design. Redesigned app looks cool too - I haven’t been able to test it yet

so it it a hard pull or soft pull? and like the X1 card they based it on, do they give a starting limit before you pull the switch on this?

The amount of work and care that we put into sending out that card and the first thing you do is a drop test. Almost made me cry 😂😢😭😭

Do they pull chexsystems when applying for opening a Robinhood account with the Gold membership? Thanks for the excellent content.

The primary reason for the different sounds is that most of those cards have a plastic layer on the back of the card. Flip them over and drop them from the front facing down and you'll have a similar sound.

Wow definitely jumped on the wait list and will be using it as my catch all card

Your trailing stop video changed my life. It's the biggest part of my trading strategy. I was able to move from full-time at my corporate job to part-time because my trailing stop strategy has been making me a really decent salary, with no feeling of fomo. I just let the percentage dictate the sale. Trailing stop is not something anyone talks about. KZreadrs talk about regular stop loss sell and scalping all the time... Noone talks about trailing stop. Thanks Dave.

How was the application process for credit card? Asked the standard questions? Which credit bureau did they pull ?

How long does it take from sign in to RH gold till you can apply?

Robinhood says only people who pay for the first month of gold count as a refferal, unless theres a way to bypass the free trial and pay right away, which there isn’t. To get the 10 refferals on the gold card, Won’t everyone you refer have to wait 30 days to make their first payment for your refferal to count, since the first 30 days of robinhood gold are free?

What card was the Visa Infinite card you showed? Robinhood Gold (solid gold) is an Infinite card?

question: I have made my ten referrals for the gold card, actually a couple more than ten where everyone is waiting for the card and not going to cancel their subscription. My question is i did this super early, so what are rhe odds I get a solid gold card? Because No one will be able to see for 30 days if they made it or not because the referral is not eligible until they pay for the next month. So I mean how can I tell if I get a card? Don’t cancel the Citi, especially if you’ve had it open for a several years. Long account age is good for your credit report. Also lower utilization of your available credit is good for your credit report - keep citi open but just stop using it. If you don’t get approved for as much as you need on RH card, you’ll have it for overflow. The Robinhood credit card app lets you setup autopay monthly OR every 2 weeks or even weekly… that will help keep your credit limit available to you. Good luck!

I like the regular credit card for sure, I’d love to get the solid gold one more though but it’s a limited press of only 5k according to the disclosure terms and referring 10 friends to setup gold memberships is required too so I guess no solid gold card for me 😫

Me and my dad are going to get it because none of our cards give this kind of flat cash back. We've both been using robinhood for a while and can make more off our investments to basically make that $50 fee free, so this card makes sense. We plan to also just directly reinvest the cashback

Yes 1¢ per point redemption for cash or travel or gift cards or pay with points on select merchants. In the announcement presentation I thought Vlad said you’d also get the 1% deposit boost, so effectively a 1.01¢ per point redemption into your Robinhood account I guess?

You can do it in the Robinhood app (I think!) - it would be on the “gold perks” page (icon at top right or in the menu under Gold. I’m already on annual so can’t be sure, but worst case you could cancel your monthly plan and sign up again on annual plan

The regular card has it but the real solid gold does not (at least it doesn’t have the sideways WiFi logo - I haven’t tried tapping at a retailer - the card works in Apple Pay, which is how I’d be tapping anyway). I’m betting it is a manufacturing limitation - steel and gold are very different!

Just heard about this today of course and joined the wait list. I was pretty excited to see this video. I will probably just be getting the regular card, but they both look nice. 👍🏻 I’ve been using the Citi Double Cash for a long time as my misc. card, but this will probably replace it like you said.

The standard does for sure, the solid gold does not have the ))) icon on it and I haven’t tested to know for sure. But I assume it does NOT because how would they get the NFC antennas inside of a sheet of gold? They specifically told me only parts that are not gold are the magnetic stripe and the chip

I too calculated in my head $50/yr for Robinhood Gold. But Robinhood Gold is actually $60/yr.
