I did not know about the ALS. So sad about that. She's 87 now and at least had a good life and a number of mega hits. At 54 she's just beautiful in this video.

This song reminds of all of those days back in '91, hearing it over the speaker at work, then my first serious boyfriend. Still together 30 years later and every time I hear this...♥

The incomparable Miss Roberta Flack was already a legend here. Loved these two together 💜

Classics makes me teary eyed these days and this is one of them. Roberta was 54 when this came out and still looking beautiful. Her first hit was 20 years earlier but her last one was in 1983. Love it when the elder statespeople of the business come back with a new hit. Still have my 45. By 1991 only big hits were being issued on vinyl.

When RnB and Reggae meet and form a love ballad. Beautiful song.

It is hard to believe how long ago they sang that song! I am into Maxi Priest and I thought he was rapping with his dreads! Roberta is hard to sing with because of the key and range so when MP opened his mouth and this incredible voice was there, I was blown away!

Me too. I just finished watching the movie. They played this song in the ending. Great & unforgettable movie that I've grew up watching. I always get that sweet, nostalgic feeling that take me back to my youth. Oh how those times were terrific, simple and lovely.
