Insane cardio ability helps you stay conscious. I have learned with high levels of cardio you can breathe your way through going unconscious and actually stay both alert and not know what the fuck is going on at the same time, if that makes sense? Lol. You basically just have intense focus on staying alert by breathing calmly. Doesn't work for hard knockouts, though.

I disagree. Getting close to Rob would be dangerous. Better to use his reach and kicks more effectively. If he would have landed that spinning heal kick earlier in any round he could have got the ko

Rob was landing quite a bit more throughout the whole fight, more right hands and left hooks, slightly out jabbed him and both guys crushed each other legs but i think rob had an edge there as well. Costa looked scary though and ate everything seemingly without issue.

Great fight! Both showed up to bring it. Whitaker is a beast to not drop with that kick, and come back to throw down the next 2 rounds. I kept expecting him to throw a right head kick. He had it the whole fight, especially after having Costa expecting it on the calf.

Paulo Costa skill set is limited. He only knows how to provide offense and smash. He doesn't cut angles when trying to avoid blows and just goes straight back. He has some work to do to get that out of his system.

Costa is a big guy for going in there to kick, in volume, every time. Machida was, too, but he lived and breathed his technique. But Machida was also more measured and better timed.

joes a leg kick glazer even when the fighter getting hit shows no indication of damage to the leg and his ability to fight, plus he misses half of big shots that land in a fight, dont know whether its the fault of his viewing angle cageside or not, but he and the commentary team should rely most on the live feed that viewers in tv have, or maybe have a screen right next to his view of the cage to compare visuals live
