Robert Vera on Ryan Job's account of being wounded on August 2nd, 2006 | Impact on Jonny Kim

Robert Vera wrote "A Warrior's Faith" which contains stories of his life knowing Ryan Job, Jonny Kim, Leif Babin and Chris Kyle from 2008-2009.
Jonny Kim and Ryan Job's were friends since the beginning of BUD/S, where they were in the smurf boat crew together. They deployed together, and on August 2, 2006, Jonny tending to Ryan's injuries. Vera was a friend of Ryan Job and godfather to his child. He recalls what Ryan Job, Chris Kyle and Jonny Kim told him of that day in detail, additional details of what has not been explained on Jocko Podcast, "American Sniper" and "The Last Punisher".
On that day, Chris Kyle, Jonny Kim and Leif Babin thought he was dead, but miraculously Ryan got up on his own strength, with his first thought being their safety. He then reached for his gun and evacuated himself. While being transported by Army soldiers to seek medical care for Ryan, Jonny Kim recalls having a lucid conversation with Ryan despite his "face being gone."
Platoon commander Leif Babin told Vera he was caught in such amazement at Ryan Job standing up that Jonny had to remind him they needed to leave the rooftop. "Sir, please let go of him!", Jonny was reported to have said to Leif on the rooftop.
While in medical school, Jonny Kim asked Robert Vera to introduce him to Scott Parazynski, a physician astronaut and cites Ryan Job as his reason for wanting to dedicate his life to service, and being a doctor, and astronaut flight surgeon.
Robert Vera wrote a biography of Ryan Job's life from knowing him and Job's accounts of the events of his life, in a book called "A Warrior's Faith".
