Robert Johnson's History: Hirsberg's Drugstore - Better Visit It Soon!
The front of Hirsberg's Drugstore was a place where Robert Johnson would frequently play during the 1930's. Several have mentioned of the large crowds that would gather around Robert, as he played his music in Friars Point, Mississippi. In fact, the Hirsberg's themselves would describe the large crowds, and about how people would have difficulty getting inside of the store while Robert Johnson played.
Sadly, Hirsberg's Drugstore would close sometime after 2005. Over the last 15 years, the building has sat and slowly fallen apart. I visited the building in the early summer of 2022. This video is what it looked like at that time of my visit With no one taking care of the building, it probably won't still be standing too much longer.
If you are wanting to visit this location where Robert Johnson would often play, then you need to do it soon.
Because…once it’s gone, it will be gone forever.

I dated his daughter when I lived in Birmingham. Her dad was the kindest, nicest man ever and the community he served.

Thank you, man! Make sure you leave a LIKE! They help my channel out a lot! The slide playing is a group named the Mini Vandals. It's part of the free music youtube offers to folks who make videos. I can listen to this type of music all day! Thanks again, my friend!
I've been there in 2010 and it looked rough then.
I have visited here on one of my several Rock n Blues trips, which center around the Robert Johnson lore. Cool videos, sir!

I don't remember the actual address, but it's easy to find. It's in Friar's Point, Mississippi.
The State of Mississippi should really step in to save this historically significant building.
