I see what you mean but what Steve taught him is to never remain irrational with animals, especially predators, they are what they are in relation to nature and when accidents happen they are usually always fortuitous. Meaning he wouldn’t want him to let fears based in emotions prevent him from enjoying the true beauty of our planet’s ocean’s. Australia’s especially :)

I would hardly call stingrays dangerous though. Just really bad luck and timing. He’s one of the only known true deaths from a stingray

love him!! the way he grabbed that man to save him! so cautious and brave. he takes on everything and you can tell he loves all animals! So much like Steve it makes my heart melt

Honestly I think Robert Irwin is he’s own person, I’m glad Terri Irwin is such a great mother who brought up beautiful and fantastic kids. She aged gracefully.

He is becoming that each day. It would be aweful if he tried to be exactly like (clone) of Steve. I bet Terri and Robert had many talks about this. Best advice from mom, be yourself. And that he has done.

I love that Robert continues his dad's legacy. He's less intense than Steve, but still carries the same enthusiastic spirit. It's comforting to watch. His dad would be very proud.

Exactly. He has inherited a little more of his mothers common sense. And I don't mean that as an insult to Steve. Just that I think Robert thinks things through in beforehand, a bit more. But not always. Sometimes he is just as impulsive as his dad.

Seeing him in the Ocean makes me so proud I could cry. He's such and adventurous soul like his dad and polite and calm like his mom. Seeing him in the Ocean that being where his dad passed. The wife is strong to let him knowing how the ocean took someone she loves already. Growth and strength I crockin!

When Robert gets excited over something he doesn’t get as loud and rambunctious like his dad. He’s a lot more soft spoken, but still talks with passion.

When I first heard Roberts voice in this, I got chills. It's like hearing Steve. So much respect to this family, they have taught the world so much.

He speaks in the same mannerisms as Steve. Really cool how we live still, through our children. RIP Steve.

I love how he is genuinely surprised by how strong the shark was. "That was nuts." Like yes its a SHARK. But I also love how excited he is to be in the water and see his first shark. I would have been out of there so quickly.

He has a show. It’s called Crikey it’s the Irwins. It’s on Animal Planet. They have just streamed their 4th season. It’s amazing to see him grow so much during the last 4 years as he’s taken on more roles in the zoo and with the conservation

I love their family. They always have such joy and smiles on their face it radiates through you. Such a special bunch, Love robert ❤❤❤❤❤

Sharks rule the roost as he smiles. Roberts charisma and chemistry with everyone so infectious that it brightens my (your) day.

What a great fellow, Robert. I was born in 2006, so I was never old enough to get to know his Father, Steve, but from everything i've heard and seen he was just wonderful. Robert is so in love with animals and protecting them and teaching others, its so beautiful to see honestly. I hope I can have the honor of meeting him someday, he's a great inspiration!

I hope there will be future shows like this. So cool it was!

I had flashbacks to when I’d watch his father on TV! It’s like watching someone (an actor) playing a role. You get flashes of his dad in his smile, enthusiasm, and personality while he’s just being himself. It’s so great to see him carrying on his father’s legacy of conservation and education and I’m glad he’s doing it in his own style. In comparison to saltwater crocodiles, white sharks are gentle giants, at least where their general behaviour towards humans is concerned. They don't really see humans as worth eating.

Most attacks I heard happen during mating season and when young calf's are nearby and sense of being threatened. Blood naturally draws.

I couldnt imagine constantly being compared to my legendary father and have the entire world telling me hed be proud, and how much I'm just like him, blah blah blah blah...just imagine not being able to ever create your own image but rather loving in someone else's shadow forever.

It all depends on how you look at it. As part of a super tight, and very loving family, I’d imagine Robert would be very proud to live in his Fathers shadow, as you call it. I think many would disagree, Robert is his own person and has many fans due to being Robert Irwin and not Steve. Robert and Bindi are creating new legacies and are the faces of Australia Zoo with Terri. Steve will never be forgotten, however this new generation with social media are definitely able to carve out their own identities.. plenty of room for plenty of Irwin’s, such an amazing family.
