His resume and skills has nothing to do with his body of work. Chris deserved the award because his product is better. He may be talented but Chris is the artist who is making music that is loved. And it’s an insult to the other nominees as well.

I listened to Robert Glaspers album and I loooooove it. Right now I am listening to Chris Browns album and it's really good too. I really don't understand why people are discussing whether their albums were RnB or not. RnB genre is a wide and it's constantly evolving. I really love the fact that Robert Glasper won despite not many people knowing who he is. Popularity doesn't necessarily define if you are more talented as musician or not. The less commercial album won this time, finally!! Bless!

Chris brown had a few pop songs on the album but most of it was pure R&B. Likewise I listened to Robert Gasper after he got the award, he is more Jazz nothing close to R&B.
Whats so amazing is its the Music genre ...its JAZZ real music no swearing
personally i think chris brown deserved it. and i think it has to do with him being blackballed as well. even if you didn’t personally like chris’s album that doesn’t mean it wasn’t r&b. these comments show that many people didn’t even listen to “breezy” they listened to the 3 or 4 singles that released. i think chris can handle himself better even though he’s been snubbed for years. congrats to robert though, a very talented musician!

All his new album did was add on some wannabe gangster nonsense on top of that. The Weeknd may be predictable himself but at least he brings a unique way to oh I don't know? EXPLAIN IT. Also he would actually commit to one style of music for each album he puts out. Chris brown just dances around one style and move on to the next with another song.

Do you know that this was Glasper's 5th grammy and has been nominated 11 times since 2010. He won best R&B album in 2010..won best traditional R&B performance in 2015...won best compilation soundtrack for visual media in 2017...won best R&B song in 2021..won Best R&B album 2023. He won an Emmy award in 2017. He has worked with and produced some of the best in the business since 2002.
I have multiple albums of his and his music and artists he works with is amazing. Real music, not the trashy nonsense that gets all the play.
He’s actually a wonderful pianist… he might just deserve it. ❤
