Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez On Boxing, ‘Hands Of Stone,’ ‘Raging Bull’ | TODAY
“Hands of Stone” is an upcoming bio-drama about the life of Panamanian boxer Roberto Duran starring Robert De Niro and Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez as Duran. Ramirez tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer that he got to know Duran as he worked on the film, and calls him a “force of nature.” And De Niro looks back on his own iconic boxing drama: “Raging Bull,” in which he played real-life boxer Jake LaMotta.

I am an Europeana living in Panama for 8 years. This movie shows a lot what other people not see about this beautiful country and its history. Edgar Ramirez is a fantastic actor. Not only an actor but a great human being and future promise. De Niro- I'm sorry, I loved him all my life and praise him whatever he made -only came here by accident.

Been watching boxing for over 50 years and never saw a fighter like Duran when in shape and in his prime !

It might be the way some people drop the "s" at the end of words. So, yes, it was pronounced "mano'e piedra," but that itself could have been short for "manos de piedra" Durán.
They never mention that Duran's father was a Mexican American soldier who was stationed in Panama and served in Vietnam. That's why he fought like a Mexican not Panamaian style.
These two actors, Ramírez and De Niro, DID NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK!! Ramírez is 39 years old, he was 3 years old, he could not know anything about Durán and just by saying that Durán was the most legendary Bpxer in Latin America does not excuse him. Give me a break! De Niro seems not to care anymore, he is fed up w/ being asked the same questions, over and over again. Having said that, It's hard to believe that Durán knew the meaning of the word "SCHMUCK" just to feel comfortable saying it!

Edgar said he wasn't aware at that time who was Roberto, he never said that he knew him at the age of three. And the world schmuck ain't that hard to learn

Boring and choppy. I wanted to like the movie, acting is good but this director is a total hack job.
