Soccer is by far the biggest and most important sport on Earth with over 4 Billion fans and is massive in over 240 countries. The whole world loves soccer. Rugby league and AFL are both tinpot sports. Rugby league big in only 4 countries. Afl is a tiny sport with 7 million fans and massive in 4 Australian states. Soccer will be the number 1 sport in Australia by 2050 yrtvn

Imagine if this happened to a player from a club like Essendon, West Coast or Adelaide. The media would go into meltdown. It’d be a circus. The AFL would come down savagely on the player and club as well. The 2 expansion clubs, Collingwood, Hawthorn, and a couple of other clubs are untouchable. It’s ridiculous.

Forever Holiday That’s because Collingwood have a toxic culture at the club. Cocaine issues a while back, match fixing last season, boozey benders and now a sexual assault charge. You’re going to be in the news for these reasons. My point is, Collingwood don’t cop nearly as much as other clubs have in the past. If you can’t see that, then you’re too one eyed.

Mcguire has once again, shown he is a drop-kick. It's OK to love your footy team, but to lie about what has happened, shows he has no credibility.

Robbo is so spot on here. I love that he doesnt care that he is taking on one of footys untouchables, he says it how it is. Caro used to be like that although she cant take on Eddie any more because she needs to keep her gig at channel 9

So Collingwoods official position is that their concern is that two senior players breached covid protocols. So if there were no covid protocols would Steele Sidebottom's behaviour be acceptable???

Personally I think a 4 match ban for this selfish, deceptive ignorance towards the AFL and fellow players is not enough. Lucky Eddie as the CEO of his club is not held personally responsible for his contracted players behaviour. The buck always stop's at the top. Set an example Eddie!

I've done pretty much exactly what Steele has done on a couple of occasions minus the cops involvement. It's hard to describe how off your face you have to be to end up like this after a big night.

With what is happening in the world at the moment this is a storm in a tea cup. Player on the booze and did the wrong thing - 4 weeks and move on.

The thing is when a collingwood players does the wrong thing it's all over the front page of the news paper but when a player from a anther club does the wrong thing you never hear about it

It's laughable to suggest that someone having too much to drink is on par with being stabbed and not providing any information regarding that at all. Classic example of bullshit, trying to say these two issues are similarly impactful.
