Especially that last quarter. So nice to see and it opens up a lot more opportunities for fast, high-scoring, entertaining games. I feel like players are going to take a little longer to get used to the extra speed. The only downside I can think of atm is that I think it actually boosts Sydney even further. Sydney already play a fast brand of footy so with this rule, I can honestly see Sydney going undefeated for the rest of the H-A season.

@@imalwaysright I reckon Collingwood are most likely to be disadvaantaged tbh. A big part of why they were so good in tight contests is because of their ability to negate opposition attack. With this change, they'll quickly turn their <10-point record the wrong way. Port, Brisbane, and Geelong will be disadvantaged a bit more as well (imo).The younger sides might tire out quicker.

Port aren’t good enough to compete for long enough against top 8 teams. An 8 goal last quarter is inexcusable. Supporter base must concede Port won’t achieve anything meaningful this year or next year. If they make the finals they are simply making up the numbers. Stop playing lame players, Dixon shouldn’t be playing. If a player needs to be managed within a game despite being managed the week prior it should be apparent his time has come to an end. Port have little to no depth as far too many players are out of form, below AFL standard and/or lack mental fortitude once pressure intensifies. Port need to fall in order to become greater than they are presently. Port’s new recruits don’t come close to correcting their defensive deficiencies. Their midfield lacks leadership and a defensive two-way running mindset. Port’s forward line is impotent and mentally fragile. Port can only beat the lesser teams solely on talent yet capitulate against cohesive teams with greater depth and a sustainable system. A predictable outcome for a predictably inconsistent team.

Essendon inarguable played their worst game of the year, they were uncompetitive after quarter time. Port supporters shouldn’t tolerate these performances. Port’s list is quite healthy comparatively yet they always get beaten soundly when the opposition plays with any verve. Home ground advantage doesn’t mean anything when Port play genuine opposition. The Poortris in all its failure.
