  It wasn't good until 3/4 time. Port were hanging on and Carlton scored immediately after nearly every Port goal. If that's the standard of "good", then it's no wonder they haven't taken the next step. Fact is that Carlton were always in control of the game and it was only a matter of time before they ran away with it.

  Especially that last quarter. So nice to see and it opens up a lot more opportunities for fast, high-scoring, entertaining games. I feel like players are going to take a little longer to get used to the extra speed. The only downside I can think of atm is that I think it actually boosts Sydney even further. Sydney already play a fast brand of footy so with this rule, I can honestly see Sydney going undefeated for the rest of the H-A season.

  @@gwilkes5325 All that concern about congestion and stoppage was overplayed. AFL got it wrong. As we saw, game was quicker and ball stayed in play because players were forced to dispose. Interesting observation about Sydney. Who do you think it disadvantages. Who are the stoppage hogs 😂😂

  @@imalwaysright I reckon Collingwood are most likely to be disadvaantaged tbh. A big part of why they were so good in tight contests is because of their ability to negate opposition attack. With this change, they'll quickly turn their <10-point record the wrong way. Port, Brisbane, and Geelong will be disadvantaged a bit more as well (imo).The younger sides might tire out quicker.

  @@Thomas-dn8dr Almost all their coaching staff are internal appointments that know nothing else. Josh Carr, Chad Cornes, Matthew Lobbe, Hamish Hartlett etc. are all ex Port players with limited external coaching experience. They need fresh ideas

  @@deepside7 in fairness to Josh Carr. I'd argue he is quite well credentialed. Having spent time as an assistant at Fremantle. But I concede your point that the names u list are all heavily entrenched with their own PAFC history. As a side note, just a left field option if by some unforseen reason Josh Carr doesn't get the job. I wonder how people would feel about Nathan Buckley as an option for coach? He too has history at the club.

  As a Crows supporter I would like to show my appreciation for Ken Hinkley and ask that the Power Cream Puffs keep Ken as their Coach for another 20 years. His repeated statements and coaching abilities especially in finals warrant his continued position as head coach 😂😂😂😂

It wasn’t the Crows that puffed out their chests and said, “ This is the best team we’ve ever had, we’re going to win 3 Premierships in the next 5 years “. Ken is great for the Cream Puffs and he’s good to the players that wear knee pads by giving them gimme games 😂😂

  Port aren’t good enough to compete for long enough against top 8 teams. An 8 goal last quarter is inexcusable. Supporter base must concede Port won’t achieve anything meaningful this year or next year. If they make the finals they are simply making up the numbers. Stop playing lame players, Dixon shouldn’t be playing. If a player needs to be managed within a game despite being managed the week prior it should be apparent his time has come to an end. Port have little to no depth as far too many players are out of form, below AFL standard and/or lack mental fortitude once pressure intensifies. Port need to fall in order to become greater than they are presently. Port’s new recruits don’t come close to correcting their defensive deficiencies. Their midfield lacks leadership and a defensive two-way running mindset. Port’s forward line is impotent and mentally fragile. Port can only beat the lesser teams solely on talent yet capitulate against cohesive teams with greater depth and a sustainable system. A predictable outcome for a predictably inconsistent team.

  @@haydenpeach6964 Played a good half against Geelong who were playing poorly and despite dominating the half almost lost despite being up by 8 goals near half-time. Essendon inarguable played their worst game of the year, they were uncompetitive after quarter time. Port supporters shouldn’t tolerate these performances. Port’s list is quite healthy comparatively yet they always get beaten soundly when the opposition plays with any verve. Home ground advantage doesn’t mean anything when Port play genuine opposition. The Poortris in all its failure.
