As an American that is in the know, I shake my head in disbelief he is not known here. Robbie Williams is one of the many, many reasons I gave up on US radio decades ago. It's such a tough market and there are so many good songs out there we're missing. RW is a prime example.

This is one of those ultimate singalong songs that everyone joins in with no matter who you are. It was massive all over Europe I think.

America is an introverted country. It's quite a worrying fact when they practically run the world. Maybe that's why we have so many problems on the planet.

He's one of the highest selling artists of all time, and was voted the most influential artest of the 90's by the British photographic society, but he stayed out of the American music scene for the most parts. I just heard him on Frosted Tips Podcast where he said it's been kind of on purpose so that he could live here with his family in somewhat normalcy.

I didn't even know this existed, so thank you for this reaction video. You really need to check out Robbie singing "Angels" live at Knebworth. It's a massive crowd, and the crowd takes over the song, to the point it makes Robbie very emotional. You get a much better idea of the impact of the song from that performance.

Yeah, Robbie is a natural showman, despite his performance anxiety. Absolutely huge everywhere but America. A good starting point is "Angels", but a good solo reaction would be his show opener live, "Let Me Entertain You." Completely over the top with a killer backup band as well.

Robbie “fairly big”….he is a global star - everywhere except the US. He’s been performing since he was 16 - you need to watch his Knebworth concert to appreciate just how huge he is. I was there on the last night and was the best best concert I’ve been to - and I’ve been to a lot. He lives in LA because he loves the anonymity he has there, he hasn’t ever been comfortable with the attention that his fame has brought despite being a huge showman.

+1 for Knebworth reaction. I've never thought to describe a music concert as "gripping" before but idk how else to explain it. At least do Feel, Come Undone, and Angels.

Robbie was massive across the world, for us who know him he still is. Love this man.

i think i heard this song at almost every concert i've been to shortly before the supporting arttists/artist came on and every time you could hear every single person in the audience sing along I was at a Harry Styles concert yesterday and before the show started most sat down on the ground and when Angels came on you couldn't really hear the music being played anymore, just everyone singing along and it was beautiful like being in a park sitting on the grass under the blue sky and being part of a huge amount of people singing the same song, hugging each other and feeling the feelings i have actually known this song all my life (i mean it is 8 years older than me) and know how well known it is... crazy to think it isn't that famous in the US

And to be honest Americans who watch BBC America will probably be familiar with him even if they don’t know his songs - he is very funny on The Graham Norton show.

I happened to find myself at a Robbie Williams concert once, when a friend of mine got sick on the night of the show, and she offered me her ticket. So there I am, not even a huge fan, and it's easily one of the best concerts I've ever been to. He's just an amazing entertainer with a lot of great songs.

I am, by no means, Robbie Williams biggest fan.. but. This song is as close as an anthem gets for British crowds whether you’re a fan of his or not. I remember being 18 and the the song the clubs would play kits before kicking us out was either this or Oasis - Wonderwall.. for Taylor to bring him out and play THIS song at Wembley is a cheat code, like I’ve said I’m not a massive fan of his, but if this song was played and he was brought out at a gig I was at.. I would scream every word. Amazing.

I first saw Robbie live in 1998 and on numerous times up until 2020… he is one of the best live artists I’ve seen…

I'm 38 and I remember hearing this song when I was like 12 years old and it made me cry. It's one of those songs that is a classic cuz it's so well known. I'm surprised you guys have never heard this song before. It used to get lots of airplay back in the day. I remember people calling in at night to the radio station KOST 103.5 FM and requesting that song. Good times 👍.

Fun fact: Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson are good friends since they were both judges on the XFactor UK in 2018. They even gave each other a tattoo.

Yes, he released this song in the States. It charted as did the songs Millennium and Feel.

Robbie’s XXV album is a compilation of his greatest hits that were re-recorded to celebrate 25 years as a solo artist. The XXV version of “Angels” is much better than the original version. “Let Me Entertain You” and “Rock DJ” are also some of his bigger hits.

I love taylor and robbie. But you can tell that she was blindsided by how well he was received, and how big he was /is. He dominated that stage she was overshadowed! That doesn't happen very often.
