He has so many awesome albums..they are all great 13 #1 albums. He passed Elvis. Intensive care, escapology, swings both ways, reality killed the video star, rudebox, take the crown, inder the radar vol. 1,2,3 etc,

It's a fantastic album with so many great songs. I always thought it was a shame Eternity wasn't on it as it was never on a studio album (only on the Greatest Hits). I agree with your top 3. I love gentle melodic Robbie.

This was a massive massive album in the UK, I'm still torn between Rock DJ and Kids for my favourite track.

Eternity/Road to Mandalay was released as a double A-side around a year after this album came out

Choose a top 3? I couldn't, but my 3 least favourites would probably be, 'Love Calling Earth' and...... no that's it, and I still love it. I just adore this album, it was the first one where I loved everything. Thanks for another great review, I just love hearing your insights, you really get Rob and not everyone does. The mark of great music, for me, is when they just go all in (no pun intended) and do what feels right, the switch ups as you said. This song, for example, could have been padded out into like three different songs. And all three of those songs would have been lesser than this one.

The following year Robbie did a whole classy swing album called "Swing When You're Winning". It's lead single (and the only one I know from the album), was a duet with Nicole Kidman, which at the time and even today sounds like the most random collaboration ever, yet it worked and was very successful. Did you not watch/listen to knebworth. He played Mr Bojangles there which is probably my fav song off that album.
