    Not to mention the style of the riffs they write.. they aren't generic sounding. They always mix it up, thats why they are my favourite band.. Joel and adam are actually beastly lead players too.. after seeing them live and watching them add in solo's etc.. i was blown away. Not to mention their pinches ;)

    Yes The tabs are in the booklet that comes with the DVD but you have to buy the DVD.

    It was never actually incorporated into a song, but this riff section is called "MMV". You can see it on his myspace page playlist.

    This riff is too hard for me :p I think this riff was going to be used in a song on their self titled album, but they decided not to use it after all. Rob Arnold rules, Chimaira rules, and his guitar rules! \m/

    we're working on it, we have spoken with Adam and I think he wants to do it. They bring a lot becuase they don't play leads but their rhythms are so tight it could be a killer program.

    ... and as soon as I heard this riff, I knew I had to learn it. As for clean, EMGs do not have horrible tones. In my opinion, they are decent.

    So, for those who have it, is this DVD worth getting? It seems like a lot of guitar-learning DVDs just consist of me sitting there watching some guy shred his ass off, without any good explanation of how the hell he did it. Does Rob go a bit more in-depth and in-detail on this to actually aid you in improving?

    Its actually a peavey 5150. That's where most of the tone is coming from. The mesa cab will make a difference obviously but most that tone is coming from the peavey head!

    looks like a 6505+ cuz its got more knobs than a regular 6505 cuz it has independent EQ

    i don't think he's playing a song(could be wrong), at least not a chimaira song, perhaps from one of the early demo's or sumthing, but i have every chimaira album and the dvd(includes this present darkness lp) and i don't recognize it
