That second riff from Pure Hatred is probably in my top 5 riffs ever. Such a monster.

I know I'm late to this but my absolute favorite chimaira song is The Venom Inside. The intro riff is sooo sweet and the groove of the verse just kicks so much ass

God man, Needle makes my head bang with just the guitar, what a powerful riff! In general, Chimaira is one of the very few bands that have these really fantastic, old-school-Hetfield style (for lack of better description) intricate riffs that are simply amazing.

I've always loved the resurrection riff. Heavy as hell. Some of favorite riff as to be power trip, salvation, disppearing sun, dead inside, down again.

Needle is just top tier. So menacing.

Man, it's just so many good riffs... By the way, both you and Matt convinced me a loooong way back to use Drop C as my main tuning. I think there should be honorable mentions as The Dissapearing Sun, Destroy and Dominate and Everything You Love (which has the best freakin' breakdown EVER). Keep rocking!

Not sure which of Matt's riffs is my favourite because there are many great ones. Awesome that you give him a stage for what he has done for the band. Man... you guys were so important to my musical taste and me as a guitar player. I knew Chimaira from Pass Out of Existence and then The Impossibility of Reason came out which till this days is one of my favourite albums ever. Welcome back and I hope you guys are going to tour in Europe. I am not counting on it but the fact you guys are playing is really awesome.

I like how you and Matt always played together but at the same time played different guitar parts. You guys always have killer guitar tones!

I really dig the Vipers! I’ve been modding since the early 80’s, and in my retirement years building as well, so to see A list players like you that actually love modding and maintenance, just gets a whole other level of respect from me. If you ever get the urge to try it, As a final step, I tape off the board (if you don’t, it takes forever to clean it off) and use a dremmel with a soft polishing wheel and green compound to do a final polish. It makes it feel like you’re bending on glass!🤘🏻

On broken glass riff is my favourite of those. So damn good

When I was 17 the two guitars I wanted most was Matt's Sig viper and the Kelly Hayes Spider EC. Resurrection is a riff that will forever make me start head banging and seeing who else is ready for the pit to go off. Thanks Rob, this was fantastic. I had an esp viper like matt back in the day. Six is one I love, but some of the parts are frustrating 😂

I heard needles with Sony headphones and that bass drop over that riff shook my brain

Matt's playing has always reminded me of Chris smith(Integrity, Ringworm, Keelhaul) for some reason probably because he played the same role in ringworm as Chris did but also it's got the groove meets thrash/hardcore style of keelhaul. it's why I loved Chimaria because doing it's own thing but also had a "cleveland" sound.

Literally so first question was "why didn't Matt play the Viper?!" haha, glad that was cleared up nice and quick. Can't say I'm a massive fan of the black and gold hardware model but that grey model is amazing!

The man with the hair like a Catherine wheel, and who also passes out too early in the green room! He was wicked to watch playing with Fear Factory after Chimaira. Such a sick guitar and bass player.

My favourite moment from the dehumanzing DVD is when Jim is tracking that riff and you're all giving him shit for it! hahhaha

I am going to have to say. "NEEDLE" Is my favorite Chimaira song. That song really puts me at my ZEN. Especially listening to it when I use to stock the beer cooler at my store. LOL It made that my favorite part of the job.

The mighty Needle riff is my jam!

I know it's not your thing, especially with an already well established sound but I'd personally love to hear you riffing whilst running a boost up front and back all that gain off, you'll retain all that whomp without all the extrenous fizz and saturation from the fiddy. Would be an incredible addition to your already baller playing 💪🏼

I hope the show will be recorded, i would love to see that!

That would be awesome, I live in Ireland so these reunion shows are basically impossible for me to ever get to. Only ever got to see Chimaira live once way back in 2007 supporting Machine Head and Killswitch Engage. Still have my gig t-shirt! Rob any chance of getting a video of the show...or ya know, a tour that includes Dublin?! I think you guys owe us a show after the 2010 tour got cancelled! 😅
