I also love dwarves. I would so get the Dweghorn taster from Para Bellum. the guys who do Last Arguement of Kings if you are unfamiliar with them. For sci-fi the dwarves would be the Immari from Ravaged Star

honestly those small games are a breath of fresh air compared to the usual 2k 40k games ( that I still love, but there is something cozy about small games ) ! keep it up !

Yndrasta & the Annihilators is objectively the best name for an AoS themed band.

Great game. And I absolute adore, adore, how they've implemented Yndrasta into Spearhead. By allowing Yndrasta to come in halfway through the game, it both allows her to really feel like the epic force of destruction that she is while also forcing her player to really make smart decisions in order to survive until then. Even better, it even works in the fluff as she just strikes out of nowhere in the stories as well. By the way, really recommend her AoS book as it is by far one of the best character studies I've come across yet in that setting.

Yes, I have this Spearhead painted up, and I've been listening to the Yndrasta audio book, and it's so perfect. Can't wait to get the new box and try it!

@@wiictvchannel1112 Spearhead is pretty high lethality, so her arrival is usually more of a respite for your beleaguered force than a win-more mechanic.

LOVING spearhead bat reps, these are so much fun and the rules are so streamlined. Please, more AOS content!

Nice batrep, love it! We want more AoS. Just fyi: the cards are hidden knowledge, you don't show them unless you use them. And after you charge you can do a pile in move even if you are not in combat anymore (not sure if it was not done willingly)

@@steliosvagianos8445 I think it just changes the dinamic of the turn too much. It's a pretty big deal when your enemy knows what you wanna achieve that turn and all the possible commands you can do. (Oh you got that counter charge card? Imma be extra careful, etc) I think best is show them when you use the command and when you score at the end of the turn.

Got an idea. Maybe I had too much caffeine. In-house elimination tourney. Each round a different game. AoS, Legion, MCP, Conquest, and 40K. Make it an annual thing. The PlayOn Megaverse Tournament.

That was such a tight, dramatic game. I'm so excited to play with that Yndrasta spearhead against my partner's Daughters of Khaine when my Skaventide box arrives.

I was a little worried about how Spearhead would handle a massive hero model like Yndrasta, but making her effectively function *as* the battle trait for the army is super cool. Her arrival is either a cinematic "victory from the jaws of defeat" moment or a final nail in the coffin of a successful game.

So hyped to play spearhead !

The player playing Seraphon called SCE a space marine analogy. Seraphon, the faction that lives in space, with space ships, the artificially crafted species to the genetic level created specifically for war by a higher power, who also lack real free will, and are indoctrinated to hate chaos.

this is almost completely wrong lol. Lets add more context next time. We all know sce are taken from space marines. Their story is far more in line, more on the conquest part which suppose you haven't read. seraphon are nothing like sm and half their lore is actually based on land, not on their ships which actually are just space enclosures that replicate an earth jungle environment (completely different to a space marine space ship).

If we're actually talking lore, Stormcast focus on reclamation and redemption, taking back what was taken by Chaos not soley on "conquest" but spiritually in the theme of hope against the dark, redemption of the souls that were oppressed by chaos. 40k Chaos is an internal battle where their soldiers and residents turn against the oppressive regime for Chaos. AOS chaos is an external threat much more than an internal one. Space Marines are created to fight for the Imperium, Stormcast are chosen for their virtues, thematically Space Marines are expantional facists, Stormcast are Valhallan-esque chosen people that fight to free the people, and important difference, aren't facist. They're not an analogy to Space Marines, the Stormcast are an anti-thesis to Space Marines.

Vanquishers! Also you can't score secondaries if you take the double turn?

at 13:12 there's a graphic that is shooting the vanquishers that are not in combat, when I think JT was talking about the unit he was in combat with because. If this was not a vfx error then it is a play error as in 16.0 of the core rules "If the unit is in combat, it can only target units that are in combat with it." I'm loving the AoS stuff and this is a little pedantic I know (he didn't hurt anything) but it is an important rule for units that have shoot in combat. The video is amazing and I love the effort and work you all do keep it up!

a question for Stephen, if you were to compare Spearhead to Warcry as standalone games (no bigger AoS) what do you think? from your battlereports I still think that Warcry has better and more elegant rules. But how about entertainment? thanks and keep it up!

13:11 : hmm... was he able to shoot there ? it says "shoot in combat", I would assume it means you can only target the unit(s) you are in combat with.

No its both. So if it has a shooting profile, which it does, itll have a range. All shooting is like that. Where it varies is, not all shooting units can shoot in melee, he can. You'll see this on rat orgres. It's basically giving melee centric units the ability to use their otjer weapon profile in combat which is good.

​@@ArthurMWT-lx8odit just seems weak. The 5 man saurus have no passive unless they control an objective which isnt too helpful. The big dino is nost of their army and he can get beat up pretty easy. Its still early, maybe the people playing arent choosing or playing well. Plus people need to leanr the cards and game better. From 10 games though, only seem seraphon win once.
