Like you said, I was totally expecting another interpretation of Dedede's experience in the Forgotten Land, but seeing this song be used as a deep dive into HAL Labs lore as well as a shoutout to the underappreciated Shinya Kumazaki, and essentially the Kirby fanbase as a whole is really beautiful to see and just an unexpected twist in general. Overall an amazing way to end the first season of what I'm glad is its own series now, and I look forward to seeing more bangers later on.

Rather, “Roar of Dedede - with Lyrics!” instead blazes the trail as an entertaining meta-commentary about the song itself: its ramifications upon the gaming community, and, more importantly, the unsung heroes who brought the song and the character it represents into existence. The Kirby community has always been fractured into two very distinct and isolated parties: the Japanese audience and the international fanbase. For such a long time, the language barrier has kept these two groups far apart and unable to convene. King Dedede is definitely one of my favorite Kirby characters and this just makes me love him even more, I especially love the part where it shows Dedede’s moments though out the years. Your singing voice is so great and definitely goes along well with this amazing boss theme. Also that last line is one of the most truest things I’ve ever heard. Honestly, I may not have had any expectations on what to expect, but this easily tops any I could have had tenfold. The way this song ditches the in - character commentary motif entirely and just praises our lords while also accurately describing the storm that was brewing inside of HAL Labs, ready to change the world forever... 20/10; Perfection absolute, just like our esteemed king.

I like how this song is less about the battle Kirby has against Dedede in Forgotten Land, but more about celebrating the Kirby series as a whole and meming about how HAL somehow made Dedede’s theme even better than it already (which is actually oddly fitting for a character like Dedede. It’s definitely my favourite rendition of Dedede’s theme in the franchise as well as my favourite theme in the entire game (yes I’m boring). I actually wrote my lyrics for this song months ago. Oh you can just do that with any premiere video. There's an option in KZread studio to add a trailer from your existing videos. Said trailer can be unlisted, I think.
