Great to hear, hopefully that means you're going exploring. This bike is all about exploring. I have a KTM EXC-F 250 to ride more enduro trails to get that fix. As I am solo in remoter areas I am very cautious when on the Himalayan and hold back and just cruise along, two different ways to ride both a lot of fun.

Hi Joe. Thanks for this video. As usual visually impressive. I always feel like I am living the trip with you. The Himalayan seems to be an awesome all-round bike. I still have a few kilometers to do before I get into some real off-road riding with mine. Also, you have put my mind at ease after hearing the noise from your bike and you changing the chain and the sprockets. As a relative newbie to motorcycles I was a bit put aside when my Africa Twin started to make a similar sound during my trip across Canada last year. But this was usually after doing some off-road and the chain being dry. I cleaned and oiled after each session and the noise went away. When I got back home I changed both and I have never heard the sound since. When I saw this video I said an amen and hallelujah - you had confirmed my suspicions! Ride safe and looking forward to the next video! Cheers mate!

Adelaide to Cape Jervis or Victor Harbor are are always a good fun drive.... I've done it many a time. Unfortunately last time I hit a big male kangaroo and totalled the van... it was a nightmare getting back home. Kangaroo Island is such a great place...and the fishing is really something. Can't wait to see where you go on K.I... thankfully things are recovering after the bushfires a few years back.... I think it was Overland Travellers that went to K.I not long after the fires and it was still showing it's scars in many spots. Thanks for sharing Joe. :)

The tent is really good for what it is design for, Thru hiking, it's 800gram, so there is always a compromise (on a positive it has blown down but never blown away 😂😂😂). also I am already over weight as I am on the Himalayan got to save every gram I can. 🤔 if lost some weight that would help 😂.

When I stop I have to download footage, charge batteries then edit, so trying to cook on top of that especially if it’s been a long day is almost impossible. So I prefer to keep the eating simple

Well I had been through SA a few time, a couple of World Solar Car Challenges, across the Nullarbor a couple time a bunch of time is Adelaide, I thought SA was okay, but on this journey well it changed my mine, the Flinders Rangers were amazing, Kangaroo Island was awesome, I missed out on going to Lake Eyre and up that way due to flooding at the time. But heading along the coast line off the main HWY, Smoky bay, then Point Sinclair is an absolute gem with the sand dunes, the point, the surf brake, the salt lakes, that you never hear about, not sure why everybody that is crossing over to WA wouldn't stop there to check it out, and the Old Eyre HWY, what a great narrow track to get a an understanding of how big this land is, oh and can't forget the bight.

Thanks mate glad you are enjoying the series. definitely get the DR out. The App is called WikiCamps it has a yellow background, green map of Australia and a black Kangaroo as the icon. There is also a NZ and a USA version. I think it was about $10. It has all the places where there are places to camp, so are just road side pull overs , so are epic where hardly any one goes, then it will also show paid camp spot plus caravan parks, so it you get delayed on the road and have to pull in somewhere they are handy to have too. IT has reviews of most spots plus photos normally .

It depends if I get time to edit on the road as they take me a while to edit, I try to get one out on Friday's (my time) so one a week but sometimes that maybe one every 2 weeks due to time or accessing Internet to upload.

These vids make me want to go touring, but then I want to stop watching them so as not to spoil the adventure.

Haha, that’s a dilemma. All I know is every adventure is different, I’m sure you’ll make your own epic adventure

wow, your voice is way to low in the opening sections of this video - I can't hear what you are saying without turning the volume up to the point where its uncomfortablely loud for everything else. You need to up the voice audio level a tadge.

apologies mate, after riding all day then trying to edit in a tent at night I sometimes get it wrong. Hopefully I'll be able to get it right in the next one.
