In the UK, EV's are not allowed to be repaired if they're damaged in a collision, I think they just have to get scraped. Things now are not made to be repaired, they are made to be replaced. All of this can't be any good for the environment like they want use to believe. By the way the Renault Zoe in the event of thermal run away, vents all the flammable and poisonous gases from the battery into the passenger compartment. So that's fun.

Yes, that can't be good, just to destroy almost new vehicle, and just get a new one. They can always say, that ICE cars will burst into flames more often, and that's true, but I would like to see some statistics about few years old vehicles. Will few years old ICE cars burst into flames much more often than same age EVs?

@@kaukolaDIY Any new technology will take time to work out and fix the problems. But I think it's being rolled out too fast when we're not ready for it and the fires are harming public perception of EV's. Over here we had a big fire in a airport car park started by a hybrid. It will be interesting to see how it all goes.
