This item is good for a hot rag or to use sterile water for a hot beverage. Manufacturer states it will boil water in an hour we let this thing go for over an hour and a half and the temp only got to 165F not boiling so this WILL NOT MAKE QUESTIONABLE WATER SAFE YOU MUST FILTER AND BOIL WATER TO MAKE IT SAFE.

Yes it will make sure to use bottled or known clean water as it won’t boil…..it will take a while to heat up so start about 15 minutes prior to wanting to eat

Only good for warning water not to sterilize it

Yes still works does not fully boil water….so use a clean sterile water. It’s works great for tea perfect temperature

@@DIYKAI thanks for the details. I have a better idea for it's limits. And if you like coffee. Asian markets have instant coffee, cream, sugar all in one instant packs.

Love a cup of black coffee to start the day….lol….the sun kettle will boil water also we have a electric kettle that boils water insanely fast
