I am just discovering Sleep Token because of Will Ramos covering Hypnosis.....but holy shit Vessel's fucking VOICE. And ll's drumming is on another level

Drummer kills it. Whole band is amazing, but man that drummer is just OOMPH👌 SOLID.

Worship 🙌 Got a ticket to see Issues for their Beautiful Oblivion tour with Sleep Token and Polyphia last year as a birthday gift. Didn't know Sleep Token (Polyphia was the major reason I went there lol) back then but they delivered a powerful, haunting show and I was sold. Was hoping you'd do a live version but I doubt there's one with great quality.

You said to tell more of what we know about the band. I’m not sure what you’ve gathered since you posted this but here are some things I know. They are actually phenomenal live if you haven’t come across a video yet. An insanely talented group. They do strive hard to remain anonymous and their fans do the best we can to help as well. Also, Vessel, the lead guy does do most of everything in the studio. You mentioned one person writing this. He does do everything except the drums. Overall, they are just an incredible band and I have it on good authority that we will be given some new music soon so stay tuned 😁

I don't think you or Chase have ever done HEILUNG - Krigsgaldr. try that. That's a whole different experience. Traust and Norupo are also good to watch...but Kirgsgaldr is a great starting point.

Pretty much. I absolutely LOVED the music, but the mystery behind all of it is screwing with my brain.

Atlantic, The Love You Want and Mine. This band is something out of left field and completely owns in so many ways. The band is great at making emotional landscapes which are dark and heavy both in lyrics and music. Atlantic is super heavy in regards to these aspects and hits like a truck towards the end.

You and Chase...two of my favorite reactors!!! Hope this continues in the future!

Absolutely love Sleep Token, Sundowning was my favourite album of last year, really glad to see more people discovering them. Such a broad array of different genres covered on the album, Vessel's voice is insanely beautiful and has such an interesting texture, and the drummer has some of my favourite recent tracks to memory, Higher and Gods definitely being 2 standout tracks imo for that. Would be awesome to see you react to some tracks from the latest album, Higher, The Night Does Not Belong To God, The Offering, Gods and Give would all be great options showcasing just a few of the different styles they've done. Perhaps a full album reaction once the Patreon is set up? ;) Love the recent content dude!

I remember being in middle school trying my damndest to figure who the members of slipknot was. This band has revived those childhood memories.i don't care who is in sleep token. I just love their music. Just like slipknot, they'll come unmasked when they wanna. If they wanna stay anonymous, then that's cool. Just don't stop making music

Hey Tank, I’m super stoked that you’ve checked this band out! They are hands down my favourite band! “The Offering”, in my opinion, is their best song and you should totally listen to it. But if you want another song of theirs to react to, then you should check out “Higher”. And seriously brother, do yourself the favour and don’t pause it once. I’d love to watch your head explode listening to that song start to finish and I’m sure everyone else would! Keep up the dope content my dude 🤙🏻

Great song indeed! The sound and arrangement reminds me of the band "VOLA" check out "Alien Shivers", extraordinary mix of synth piano and super-heavy riffing.

Nice deftones vibe reference dude. I've only heard of Sleep Token due to youtube music algorithms. His eccentric voice can sometimes be too much for me but not enough to dislike the song. I discovered both you and Chase within hours of each other so i find it really cool that you guys have become friends and are collaborating. (PS: Still waiting for that Veil song lol)

I saw these quite by accident at download 2018.. Asi walked into the tent they were performing Jaws.. That was it for me.. I absolutely adore this song.. They always wear masks..

It's not the dude from Bastille, for sure. But glad you finally checked these guys out! Chase kills his breakdowns of Sleep Token tracks. These guys definitely have music background (The drummer obvi has a jazz background) but no, this isn't a side project. These guys are absolutely new, they got noticed so fast because of pure talent The mask is Vessels mask that he uses live. I HIGHLY recommend checking out their 'TWO' EP. It's flawless. The best part about Sleep Token is when you start a song, you have NO idea how it's going to go. Every song is completely different If you wanna headbang, checkout their song GODS off Sundowning. I won't ruin it but, just check these guys out some more

Please react to Leo Moracchioli. He is an multi instrumentalist who covers mostly every song and produce them alone. I recommend „all the things she said“. Keep on rocking 🤘🏼

And if you’re going to go with something “out there” vibe, well, you are in luck from either “Overconfidence” (released a few days ago) or “red light” both by Tallah. Either one of these should test your ears with what you hear influence-wise. They’ll both be a trip. And maybe through this on Chase too! Overconfidence has your best gear chance. And Red Light, well, it almost made GALACTICRIMINAL’s head pop off. ✊🏼

Masks remind me that Ad Infinitum just released a new video. I think they are very cool, three talented musicians in fancy plague doctor masks and the excellent and gorgeous Melissa Bonny singing.

One of the best bands around seen live few times and just unbelievable powerful & glorious live. Bloodsport definitely my top track. PS keep the identity secret 😉

Hey Tank. One of the most amazing tracks I've ever heard is one called "Forced Entry" by a progressive metal band named Leprous. I'll admit it took me a couple listens to really get into their head space on this album ("Bilateral"), but once I did, I was amazed at how brilliant the whole album was. If you've never heard the track, I would love to see your reaction to them, they're really something special and have a pretty nice backlog of albums to dive into if you end up enjoying them as much as I have over the last decade or so. Thanks!

You will like their song, The offering. Very different but in a good way

As I I listened, my mind kept going "Hmm, if Massive Attack ever went metal.. this would not be out of place on Mezzanine", a connection later compounded by the Bristol roots of a top Vessel "candidate", along with the "collective" angle. Missed this the first time through, so late to the party, but very interesting mix of elements...

Another great Band Gojira! If you like listen to your own. The Singer of Sleep Token has an awesome wave voice. Oh god my english ist so terrible

Mentioned it before, but forgot to mention that Ayreon - The Day The World Breaks Down. Prologue to a rock opera. Floor Jansen is one of the vocalists.

Oh man, I've first listened to Sleep Token in 2017...and I'm a fan since that time. I was lucky enough to see them live with Polyphia and Issues, it was hell of a show. Imo, 'Sundowning' is one of the best albums EVER. W O R S H I P.

I love this channel because I love learning about things I know nothing about (like musical gear!). But for once I know about some "gear" in this video: the bug is a cockroach, specifically looks a lot like a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach to me. This is a wingless species common in the exotic pet trade as pets and as food for reptiles, most famous for being relatively big and for making a brief hissing sound by squeezing air out of their exoskeleton when they feel threatened! Not one you'd find infesting homes in the northern latitudes but maybe if some pets got out in a humid and warm country they could, though the very specific placement didn't seem like they were trying to show an infestation. I'm not sure the symbolism they were going for with it, but I think it's awfully cute!

I saw them live in 2019 at St. Andrews hall in Detroit Michigan. Absolutely amazing performance, I fell in love with the bands aesthetic, energy, and vessels voice. Went for Polyphia, stayed for sleep token 😳

in regards of their identity/identities, it took me nearly a month of intense research to find the vocalist's old music- their real identities arent readily available on the internet, it takes a keen eye and a fine-toothed comb to find them. the band is incredibly thorough about hiding themselves and have been doing it well for years
