Yes, they are, Mr. Mapother👍 True that, sir
Never saw this before; but now with the passing of Animal it's more than fitting
I went to middle school with Animal and we became friends. I even played little league baseball against him, I Horsham, Pa.! RIP Animal!
Rest in peace Animal one of the best in business ever
What I love about Animal is that for one of the toughest guys ever in the business with an intimidating personna, he's like a gentleman when he talks and is very fair when it comes to talking about everyone. A bit like Paul Orndorff - commands respect but very respectful in return and honest as they come. Hannibal, thanks very much for uploading the whole Shoot. It's appreciated.

That's how most real men are especially real tough men
We will never see the likes of Summerslam 92' again. Legendary
Animal, if you are watching this, I watched you as a kid and have huge respect for all you and Hawk did for the industry. I would get spooked seeing you guys come into the ring to"Iron Man" when I was a kid.
Hey man I've never commented on any of you're videos but Animal just passed yesterday and this interview just popped. Imitated til this day.. Never Duplicated! Seeing he's fighting back against the machine that has been very vengeful to the LOD..is awesome to see from Joe. Even after using them to recruit talent, they also gas the flames in their personal lives?? They were bigger then the WWF...but they had to fight someone. But I think the WWF didn't care for a tag team bigger then itself.
1:00:40 It's pretty cool to see such a legend relive the past and his face just lights up.
I really enjoy this. Road Warriors are the best tag team ever, in my opinion.
I can't believe Animal is gone now too. Hope him and Hawk are hangin out and gettin in the ring again. Rather it be made of Gold or not and drawing the biggest crowds in the clouds. RIP to both of them.
Rest in Peace ♥️Animal and Hawk Legends Forever 👏🏻🍀
They were the best ever!
Animal's really cool. I once met him and Hacksaw Duggan at a GNC promotion. I spoke to them for a while. Good guys.

Yeah, around 34th st.
I was at the card in Hammond they discuss starting at 25:10 that nearly turned into a riot. Yes, the woman slapped Animal and he swung and hit her. That started causing other people in the crowd to start attacking the Road Warriors. They hadn't had wrestling at the Hammond Civic Center in years so there were no barricades to keep fans back and they didn't have a ton of security so when the crowd surrounded the Warriors, they fought their way out. The videos are on KZread. One guy even gets a moving start and hits Hawk with a chair and Hawk doesn't flinch. If the few cops hadn't stepped in and gotten control to get Hawk and Animal to the dressing room, they could have taken out the crowd. I'm 12 watching all this with my Dad in the bleachers. It was one of the greatest things I ever saw and we would talk about it for years after. About a year later the AWA came back to Hammond and the local newspaper had a big article about wrestling coming back and the riot and lawsuit that had happened the year before and how the Hammond Civic Center had learned their lesson and were going to have better security, which they did because we went to that card too. I remember the article even had Hawk and Animal's real names in discussing the lawsuit and I was a little sad to find out their real names weren't Hawk and Animal because back then wrestling was still presented as being real. They will always be my favorite wrestlers of all time.
Road Warriors put tag-team wrestling on the map, and made it a fixture of wrestling. Next to the Rock n Roll Express, they made tag teams mainstream
NWA Road Warriors greatest of all time.

It's hard to believe both Hawk and Animal have passed. Back in the early 80s I loved watching those guys on Sunday mornings kick butt before the bell even rang.
I absolutely love animal Road warrior I liked when they came out with their gear in SummerSlam 92 here in the UK in golf spikes with their shoulder Gear
heck yeah. thank you Hannibal for all the bad ass shoot interviews!

I agree. I like the way he keeps quiet and lets the guest speak. I hate interviewers who want to interrupt and do all the talking. Its a skill for sure.
There will NEVER be another team like them. They are hands the best of all time!!!
Great interview of a true legend. I was a little disappointed that there was no discussion of the shoot angle with The Fabulous Ones.
Wrestling like just about anything back then seemed more organic. It wasn't so cut and paste like today. That's what made the Road Warriors so amazing.
Damn! He looks almost exactly the same as he did in the early 90s. Good things going on with his son in the nfl! Best of luck to him and his life endeavors
What an amazing incredible story, loved the Road Warriors and Powers of Pain!
I just stumbled across this by chance on the rabit hole. I grew up loving the road warriors! Animal was always my favorite hands down. Seen them preform many many times growing up! Thanks for uploading it.
excellent. Animal proves that steroid use without other narcotics is not nearly as dangerous as mixing the two.
Great interview as always. Devon, I gotta ask; is there any chance you could possibly do an interview with Ole Anderson. I'd pay to see that dude.
Your interviews are invaluable to me as a student of wrestling's history. Better than highspots, RF Video, and Kayfabe Commentaries.
He’s right about the people never leaving, Wisconsin is the same way and I can confirm being the new kid in high school lasted until junior year and was the worst 2.5 years of my life
I'm really happy to see that you're getting more and more views, Hannibal. I love your interviews with these legends.
Fun fact: Hawk and Animal are undefeated at WrestleMania.
OOOOOOOHHHHHH WWWWWhat a Rush!!! I keep finding these gems on THE HANNIBAL TV. Thanks Hannibal!
Great interview. Totally agree the Road Warriors are the greatest tag team ever! I still feel the rush whenever I watch their bouts!
Amazing interview as always!
The Greatest Tag Team of All Time ! The Road Warriors LOD !
The first time I saw the Road Warriors I was in middle school around 1986....I was home sick watching AWA wrestling on the USA network. It was the Road Warriors vs. King Kong Bundy and some other guy I don't remember. Road Warrior Animal fucking picked up King Kong Bundy and shoulder pressed him up over his head. It was and still is one of the most impressive shows of strength I have ever seen. Road Warriors were the greatest tag team ever. It sucks how they were mis-used and mistreated in their last years with WCW and WWE.

Hannibal is just great.... he asks good questions and then shuts up. He is not full of himself loving to hear himself talk like so many others.
Your right my brother , I miss them old days , kicking ass .. But you can't replace what has and will be in my heart. I miss Hawk ,, WHat A RUSHHHHH.. Thank you animal and Hawk. for making the wrestling world real and a kick ass3 minutes of my life ..
great interview
The only tAG team thats held LITERALLY every fuckign belt in every territory they were in.
Animal was always my favorite wrestler of all times, awesome interview
I get a road warrior pop every time I walk into work lol
My favorite tag team of all time i met animal last week and wow he's a really cool guy sat there and talked to him for a wile very laid back cool guy
both animal and hawk along with their legendary manager precious Paul ellering will go down as one of the toughest and best tag teams ever!
These guys and Demolition were my favorite wrestling figures I owned (minus Crush)
i like the way animal is just shooting the shit doing this
Animal is the only wrestler to military press Hogan so easily. It was in Japan if I remember.
I'm a bassist. Hulk was quite sound on bass. He had great influences like Stanley Clarke.
Great interview from a big wrestling fan...
The story where Hawk messed up the motorcycle was hilarious.
I walked right past Animal the day after Summerslam 92 in London when i was a little kid. He was standing with Bulldog eating an ice cream; near Tower of London i think. I remember turning round and noticing his leg/calf was f*cked. Me and my bro were dumbfounded cos we didn't know the WWF was in town at the time.
Damn, Minneapolis was a Wrestling mecca back in the day

I just wish I was a little older. I was like 6,7,8 something like that so I don't remember a lot of wrestling back then but definitely going back in time here in KZread
Awesome shoot brotha💪

ooohhhhhhhhh whatttttt a rushhhhh thsi is just fn awesom i loved the road warriors animal and hawk were the the baddest dudes on the planet
Great interview one critique was why Animal wasn't asked about 1988 heel turn. Was like Austin heel turn the crowd never accepted it
Hannibal i love you shoot interviews keep up the good work and try to get one with Nikita Koloff please!
nice vid Hannibal, very informative. I've always been a big Jesse Ventura mark so it was great hearing a little about Jesse.
The best ever for sure!

I remember Vladimir Petrov. He was around late 1986-1987 when Nikita turned face
Awesome vid. What year was this interview done ?
Great interview with 1/2 of my all-time favorites The Road Warriors. Lot's of stuff and stories i never knew about from Animal/Joe. And the Legion of Doom/Road Warriors are the greatest tag-team of all-time with 2 dominant decades to prove it. As for The Dudley Boys i have them 3'rd at best only cause of their longevity and title wins with The Steiner Brothers 2'nd. As for the old prick McMahon i think he punished them over the years for rejecting his offer in the mid 80's.
Sounds like Fuji Television was taping all of the wrestling.
Rest up goats ! ... Clothesline a couple of angels for us! ..
No tag team can touch the Road Warriors
Interesting interview Animal seems such a cool guy. Scaffolding matches are terrifying and I'm glad they don't have them anymore.
Road warriors were the best tag team ever!
The 🐐 Tag Team with out a shadow of a doubt no🐃....
Love this
I LOVE the Road Warriors/LOD!!! DEFINITELY #7 on the GOAT list... 7. Road Warriors/LOD 6. The Dynamic Dudes 5. The Bushwhackers 4. The Beverly Brothers 3. Spirit Squad 2. The Ding Dongs 1. THE MULKEY BROTHERS!!! MULKEY FUCKING MANIA!!!!!
When wrestling was "real", there was nobody better than the LOD. God Bless Hawk and Animal. Great Interview.
I wish Road Warrior Animal can be on NXT one night I want to see him on TV soon 😍😊😍😊

The Rock made the most money as a former wrestler/actor, but he was not the most entertaining wrestler ever. Ric Flair probably holds that title. ...Yes, The Road Warriors are the greatest tag-team ever.

Flair is the MOST overrated wrestler ever.
How did he not know who Hogan was (and never saw him before) when he saw him in The Guy, but he said he bounced when Hogan played bass guitar previously? Did he see him before The Gym or not?

Legends!!!
Great interview. The Road Warriors were always my favorite tag team of all time and to this day are still the best. Its been said that out of the two Animal was the more level headed one while Hawk was always wild and out of control. Its still sad to this day that Hawk has died you can tell that Animal is still hurt by his death. As for the part about Vince screwing them out of money i believe it because tons of wrestlers have claimed the same thing plus the Road warriors were not his creation and Vince dosen't like it when he don't create it recent example look what Vince has done to Bray Wyatt. Triple H says that Bray created his own character and Vince buries him every chance he gets.
Animal is from Philly, THATS MY CITY, I got to get out of here, it was cool when I was younger, now, I just wanna fall back in like Tampa,FL, West Palm Beach, anywhere down South, where it’s quiet, even Northern Cali, Seattle, Portland, Philly just, I need to get away from it, too love it again, if that makes any sense. NWO4LIFE
RIP Animal:(
yer ko needs arms like u hannibal id still like 2 see u champ in wwe
Wish he would have talked about Crusher & Bruiser
Hawk said in another shoot (double shoot with Animal) that Ole contacted Eddie Sharkey in Grandma B's looking for a new tag team with big guys. Ole traveled up there looked over those Animal said worked at the Bar. Hawk rebuttled to Ole "what are you looking at". Ole was looking for no non sense big guys. He chose Hawk and Animal for the GCW gig.
I like Animal's reaction after hearing about uncovered sex tapes of Paige being tag teamed,, Xavier's name comes up; "Whooooooooooooo! Brings a whole new meaning to New Day!"
I did NOT know RW Animal is from Philadelphia? Where it was filmed was South. I was raised in West Phila/University City (1985-1998)...Curious what part of Phila they moved to after South.
