    Are most of the main roads now paved in mongolia ?

    Can't say for all of Mongolia but as of the time I went, the AH4 is paved as you can see. On Google maps, however, the street views of some of the sections that are shown on the video were still unpaved, so I guess paving of the highways is relatively recent.

    @@honsworth6688 the Mongolian government launched a road construction program back in 2013. Aim was to connect all provincial capitals with Uaanbaatar. Last gap was closed in 2019. Now all major roads are paved. But there are still plenty of off-road opportunities apart from the major roads.

    The road looks perfect. Do you think, that is possible for old motorhome(camper)? Is it free to camp everywhere?

    I think so, there are campsites and cabin-sites scattered all along the way. For Mongolia I'm pretty sure you can camp anywhere, that's the nomadic way of life!

    Do you need 4x4 or a normal car can do it in the dirt road part?
