I met Patrick a few years ago at COTA before a race. He was standing by the car, cup of coffee in hand. It was freezing outside, and I asked for a pic. He set down his cup and smiled. Really nice guy.

Love Jay's humility. He's such a gift to the automotive world. And Patrick Long, what can you say? One of the best things about Porsche is the people. The Porsche community is so well represented by Patrick Long. The cars are world class, but the people are even better.

I LOVE that you raced against the bike!! The opening clips of the same shot first caught my ear's attention, but when you cut to the biker pulling up to lane split (20:03) , then switching camera to the car's view/audio, oh my! Them's two different redlines! WOOT! Great as always, good sir!
Jay driving @ 16:09 light turning yellow well before entering , go faster through light, camera edits that out, drives like most of us! Forget about the +100MPH; lol. that'l give you a ticket too. Great episode - again! Plus Patrick says it's affordable to "pound" cars on tracks lap after lap - betcha he doesn't pay for his tires!
If I was ever fortunate enough to be able to afford this masterpiece, this is the EXACT spec I would choose. Those blue wheels are unbelievable. Thank you Patrick Long and Jay-that was great!
Thank you, Mr. Leno for another awesome history lesson, nothing better than a naturally aspirated Porsche!🙏🏽

6:50 at the Nurburgring?! I took a physics class in college many many years ago, and we calculated how it was virtually impossible for a street car to ever lap the ring under 7 minutes. Now here we are, 2023 and theres several road legal cars that are under 7 minutes.

This latest GT3 RS really blurs the line between road and track further than ever before...and it's an exciting proposition. Although I'm a bit old-school and still enjoy my 997 based GT cars, there is no denying that this latest model is the ultimate road and track weapon for those who can have it. I cannot wait to see them in the wild, and I'm fortunate that some of my friends and customers have them on order too. Amazing video...thanks for a great time!

You are the best Jay!
They should have made this Mid Engine before going Electric. If the GT4 RS is Insane, imagine this!
Porsche has always been one of my favorite brands. My biggest "gripe" yet simultaneously my favorite thing about Porsche is the minimal amount of aesthetics they apply to each of their new models. They tend to keep it pretty traditional year after year, and while i applaud that, it also gets a bit boring trying to keep up with which model is which since they all mostly look the same. They also complicate things further with what they call the models/chassis (991, 993, 996, 992, 911s, L, E, 3.0, 3.2, T, all the dashes and dots, etc). The RS models all stand out within the lineup, but the 2023 911 GT3 RS seems to consist of enough change to stand out on it's own, yet keep the timeless "Porschesque" styling, so props for that!

It is interesting to look back at the past models and see how much they actually have changed. The steady schedule of redesigns then mid model refreshes does make it seem slow but when you look at two generations with one in between you really start to see the evolution and I like how it just keeps getting dialed in rather than changing something too radically that has become the longest running institution of a design in the industry. I'll contrast that wish something like the honda civic, which has changed rapidly in a shorter amount of time and some redesigns were more successful than others but what you have now versus 30 years ago is totally unidentifiable in design lineage. I know I'll probably get some flack for comparing the 911 to the civic but I think they are more similar than meets the eye as far as being utilitarian, focused, simple, mostly understated other than Gt/RS and Si/T-tech/R respectively and above all reliable cars. Really the biggest difference I can think of other than price and power is the drive train is reversed and non turbo civics actually dont have turbos.

Patrick and Randy Pobst are two of the nicest and most approachable people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with. Met them both at Indy back in 2014 and both gave the impression that they simply loved being able to race cars for a living and to have people who were fans. Randy noticed my Brumos Racing t-shirt and actually approached me. Patrick is a true Porschephile and knows the brand from top to bottom, a wealth of knowledge.
This is a beautiful car. I love the use of the aero from the side

"One day I was having lunch on the beach at Lake Garda in Italy.." Oh, were you now..? ..Nnnice. It's funny, but I could instantly picture, and visualise his setting the moment he said it.. Sitting under the umbrella at the table.. the soft dulcet tones of Italian couples engaging in light conversation as they were enjoying their brunch.. With the beautiful lake, and the snow capped mountains on the backdrop, and the sun shining down as you sipped your cappuccino.. God I feel so normal now. I wish I had a teleport.

One word - AMAZING
In the canyons, the Turbo charged 911s hit 120 so fast... frankly it's terrifying to behold. I'm in a natural aspirated 997.2... I have my speed alarm set to 96 because I'm not interested in going over 100... ever... but these guys with the newer cars (which all have turbos) hit 120 and don't even realize it. I mean that, they don't even realize what they're doing. Many of these cars can hit 100 in 7-9 seconds. It's getting pretty crazy out there
Lol Pat putting up with Jay's comments 😂☠️
