What happens when the road markings are so badly worn and filled with massive pot holes that will have a motor bike on its side... Do you stop in confusion? O r wonder where all the road tax money has gone???

he was lucky there was no cars in front of him so he saw the road markings if they had been cars infront of him i think he definitely would of chose the left lane to go straight ahead I would of done too plus the road markings are so nice and visible where we live there's hardly any road markings it's so difficult to see them sometimes especially at night 🥴

You are so so so true. Happened to me, it’s not that easy and straight forward as shown in video tutorials. Especially in rain, winter days and nights.😖

Ps don't make simple things difficult if you see sign for mini roundabout with blue background and white circular arrows it's a mini roundabout keep right simples

I swear road designers try their hardest to make driving a stress

Especially nowadays the council not painting the road markings clearly, therefore it's really faded and hard to see including the traffic in front you

My instructor taught me that if there's no right exit and 2 lanes and your going straight ahead use the right hand lane

Sorry you can use both lanes when it's busy but the highway code says keep left the right hand lane is for over taking always other wise I can do 30 miles on a motorway on the outside lanes

Easy to assume if there are no cars in front of the Markings. I f there was at least 2 cars in the lanes, then how can you know unless you're a local to the area

There's a road around where I live that's like this (but I'm in America, so the lane would normally be the right one) and it doesn't have arrows on the road. There's only one small sign after the solid line saying "right lane must turn right". I defaulted to the right lane a couple mornings ago and cut someone off by mistake. It certainly made me more aware of roads like this!

This is what made me failed my test. I assumed the left lane was for second exit , of which there was road marking that shows right lane should go to the second exit or 3rd exit. So sad.

What if there is traffic and you just assume its on left??

You don't have time to indicate when exiting a mini-roundabout.

You won't get any faults or fail your UK driving test for this. As the roundabout is so small, if you did signal to exit, it would probably flash once or twice which isn't going to help anyone.
