Every member means an equal lot to me. But RM is the one my mind is most similar to. He is like the more profound, experienced, courageous, wiser version. And his music really stands out to anything I have ever experienced. We come from such different backgrounds but the human rawness in his music is far too relatable to the soul. The introspection he does is rare these days among so many and is extremely refreshing. But what I am astounded by is his skills to articulate what he introspected. Inspite a large fandom, most don't seem to really understand how legendary of an artist rm his. He questioned hiphop standards. Learned what his identity meant. Apologized for his ignorant teenage outlook/lyrics. Dvelved into psychological themes. Profoundly verbalised it into music. And the list goes on. To me he is the rawest purest artist.

Even in my 50’s, this young man has inspired me so much. For me he is the epitome of a true artist- his words, lyrics , melodies, rap, has transcended into a universal art form- something you can feel in your core, in one’s soul. I hope more Army’s will support his music. I love all BTS members and will always support them as a group and as individual artists. But Namjoon is the one that inspires and touches me the most. Thank you for this video.

This Beautiful Young Man has touched my heart in ways that I never thought was possible. I'm 52 and growing up, I never liked rap music, because a lot of it just sounded like nonsense. No hate to anyone, the music just did not appeal to me. But when BTS came into my life, and I really started to listen, I was blown away by them. I found my eye's would always be drawn to RM, so I wanted to learn more about him as an artist. When I took the time to listen to his previous mixtapes, solo songs, and collaborations, I was and continue to be in awe. He has truly captured my heart. Indigo is a True Masterpiece, and I simply can't get enough of it. I Love & Adore you Kim Namjoon. 💙💜

Heartfelt thanks Namjoon🥰🥰

Man... even with Proof as an album of great potential and meaning, I can clearly say that Indigo was the best album of 2022. I've never seen an album where every song made me shake my head until the end, and the only album that I like to listen to from the beginning in sequence.

Every men of BTS is very dear to me in his own unique diferent way. And i must say when Namjoon was about to release Indigo, i needed it in my life, the way his mind works just amaize me, i relate so much with the way he views many things, his rawness, his poetry. Some may say other singers also talk about the same things Nam talks, and is true, but the way he does it, his work play and vulnerability is unique, only he can do it.

Indigo is not just an album its his emotions. Namjoon poured his heart out. I was thinking how hard it was for him as RM and as Namjoon. As we know he is the one who talks English so the pressure, nervous he gets we don't know how he feels still he nailed everytime in interviews, awards etc eventhough he is in his 20's. Sometimes we forget that Namjoon is in his 20's bcs of his leadership and mature side. Its not easy for him but he did his job without any mistakes and with efficiency. He lost 20's bcs of busy schedules, hectic day, concert, world tour etc etc. Still he might feel regret but whatever you have done its great. And he inspires youths a lot. I am very thankful for that and for being an artist. This world needs more artists like Namjoon and BTS.

I couldn't appreciate the album much as I do now so thank you for this analysis and interpretation, the lyrics especially made me love wild flower even more. no.2 hits close to home, so many regrets and mistakes can be hard to accept in life, hearing RM's song made me reflective on my take on it. And seeing how much thought and love RM placed into making this album along with the singers and artists who participated made me appreciate his introspection in life. As RM of BTS, I adore him for his leadership and songwriting but listening to his songs in the Inidigo album made me see him as Kim Namjoon , a person who shares similar pains we feel. I can't imagine how hard it must have felt for RM to find himself, his dream, and ground his identity even after all the fame he has experienced in the past couple of years. He truly is a down to earth guy, a wildflower, he has grown and changed. The album speaks volumes about his artistry and maturity. I cried hearing the lyrics of no.2 and Lonely, they all seem to resonate deeply within me with a comfort that there's someone who feels the same way. Thank you for this!

Namjoon for me is a true artist and a big teacher in life. I used to not like Rap music at all even when my husband tried to make me listen to it alot; but it always sounded like nonsense to me. And whatever songs I heard, they didnt have enough meaning and depth to attract my attention. But it has all changed since Namjoon and BTS came into my life. His lyricism and their musicality is such a balm for me. Namjoon has made me appreciate poetry so much more. Not just his songs, but his thoughts in general are such inspirations to me. Each and every song of Namjoon and BTS affects me in the deepest of ways, its hard to explain. This album in particular shows the genius of Kim Namjoon. Everything from the album jacket to the melodies, to the order of songs chosen shows his thought process and his depth; which in-turn makes me want to analyze everything deeply. Thank you, for providing your interpretations of this beautiful album. Your videos are always so very well analyzed and organized. They are a real treat. 🙂

What an incredible analysis of all the songs in INDIGO. I knew upon first listening that there's more than meets the ear (in this sense), but I was unaware that the meanings are so deep that they are open to several interpretations. Nevertheless, I LOVE listening to this album---a definite departure from the slam-bang, take-no-prisoners approach of many BTS hit songs. 12:55 my take on this part is, as namjoon said: the poetic persona is an idol or someone who can't be in a relationship and can only watch the other person from afar, then he asks them to stay where they are, so the poetic persona can watch them (or take an imaginary picture, you can say) creating a memory of the significant other, because there won't be another chance, there's gon be no take two after all

RM’s interpretation of life, insane lyrics and prolific musical talent never ceased to amaze me. Despite the many genre, he managed to blend all of it perfectly and walk us throughout his 20s struggles, dilemma, conflicts and at the same time give encouragement and reassurance that he have tried his best and now there is no looking back (of past regret). So we should move on while keeping feet on the ground. The message that he value longevity and wish to live like a wildflower is something I found refreshing and pure. The album goes beyond and above my expectations, I can’t pint point exactly what is it that make it so precious to me too but it does.

Personally for me, I feel like that the reason why namjoon created Indigo album in the first place is that he wanted to share his thoughts and emotions to us as a way of expressing for who he truly is not just as RM of BTS, but as Kim Namjoon, but I also like to think that Indigo is for the people who are in their 20s or entering adulthood or for the people who feel lonely and lost. Wild Flower relate to me cause it talks about the fear and the loneliness of entering adulthood especially at a young age. My childhood trauma really caused me to become mature at a young age and have to experience with many things that emotionally affected my mental health, which made me realize that I never get to experience what is like to be a child back then. Indigo reflects the deep emotions, feelings, thoughts, the minds, and the fears of change in society or life or even ourselves.

In the moment, i listen to Indigo at least once a day. It is such a gift for me and i find it intriguing, comforting and enigmatic at the same time. Every ARMY should find their way to Indigo and also to their own interpretations of it. RM and also BTS is an invitation to one´s own thoughts and views. We can dive deep into the lyrics, but we can also just stay on the surface enjoying the visuals and music. But i was always rewarded with a deeper connection to their music and to them as artists, when i took the time to look and think AND also feel about their lyrics and music. All the members are inspiring arists, but Namjoon speaks to me the most. He is using his means in such wonderful and creative ways, that we are enriched by his work. Thank you for making this video and your thoughts. I find it very interesting to see what other people think about this album. My favorite are Yun and Closer. Both songs are very close to my heart. I paint and draw myself and the human condition to make art and to long for art is so relatable to me. I see Closer more hopeful than you. For me it is that two people are apart but still they are connected. And by staying where they are they can stay connected in a way. I see it as a analysis of what an idol might think of their connection to their fans. We see them on the monitor (red, blue and green) but we can never get closer. And we shouldn´t.

Kim Namjoon lyrics is more meaningful & incredible Artistic skills. In young age his rapping style & ability to write song is spectacular. Like Dimple, Pied Piper, Umbrella , Moon & INDIGO.. He looks the Society & gives the message which hits the heart. 💜Kim Namjoon you are my Artist forever💜

I love this thoughtful look at the album overall, and your dive into each of the songs! Every time I listen to this album, I find something new to unpack, some new image or way of looking at something I hadn't realized before. The way he called it "the last archive of my 20s" made me think about just how much of BTS' life has been lived in front of a camera, "on record," since their debut. For them it's not just scheduled public appearances and being on stage and random snaps by paparazzi, but Lives and Bon Voyage and In the Soop and Run BTS. (I mean, seriously, ARMY has watched them *sleep* on camera.) Initially it was an innovative way to promote themselves, but then they made a deliberate choice to give us even more access to show us themselves as authentically and honestly as possible. That entire archive of their past is out there on the internet for everyone to see, but I feel like Indigo is RM's chance to say, "Okay, I know you've seen ALL of that. Now here's my take on it, my own perspective. These are the bits *I* want to remember." (Because music is both language and memory.) An interesting side note about Change Pt. 2... I listened to it back-to-back with Change (trying to figure out the connection, because while I LOVE Change Pt 2, but my first reaction to reading the lyrics was "Damn, Joonie, who hurt you?"and "Change" in contrast feels so positive). After a couple of listens, I realized that the piano that comes in halfway through in Pt. 2 is the SAME piano part as in the beginning of the first "Change," except it's... kind of drunk? (It's out of tune and off-beat.) So there is a literal connection, but I'm still trying to figure out what it means.

I admire your interpretation to the pt i find it so brilliant of you cuz you notice things i havent I am really into acoustics and r&b, and fr the release of indigo up to now, i dnt know what about it that heals but it gves me that feeling similar to a hike or a walk in nature. The songs and album composition is like more than a song but a diff art piece. My only tiny tiny ...tiiiiiinnnyyy concern is sometimes the ambiguity can be overwhelming to me that i wld want things to be straightforward and simple. Overall, indigo for me is 99.9999999999

I know what you mean; most of the time, Namjoon is an excellent communicator. But then, once in a while... it's like he uses a word or phrase in a way that obviously makes sense to him, but just isn't the way we're accustomed to it. And I end up going, 'Wait, but what does that...mean? How does that work?' Sometimes, of course, it's a cultural thing, and sometimes it's due to still being a very young ARMY (just a little over 2 years), but sometimes I think of him as like.... his thought process and intellect are way up around the level of the space shuttle, and he forgets for a bit that the rest of us are all down here at airplane and helicopter level. But usually he's very careful to explain himself, because he's aware that he thinks on a different level and he really wants to be understood. 💜💙

And thank you for doing this video. This is what matters and the reason why we are fans : their music and lyrics, in the group or solo. I will add that all solo releases deserves the same support than BTS albums because the quality of their solo albums is at the level of BTS albums. Jack in the Box and Indigo are masterpieces. I was going to say that we are lucky to be their fans for the quality that they bring in everything they do but is not lucky, we are fans for that. I can't wait for the other members solo releases!!

i just want to shout how amazing this man's mind is!!!...the way he translates it to music and how he graphically presents it is so relatable...to so many people. His Indigo is so contained...so understated that it oozes sheer class act...from the album songs...the collabs...the order of songs..the two mv....the album physical representation...the accompanying interviews...the tiny desk session...and the epic Rollinghills concert....its a prefectly package thought process for those who want to venture and experience Namjoon's soul bearing moment in indigo....💙💙💙

I love how you analyse the lyrics, and spell out the meanings so well that even a baby would understand 💜 I really wanna see more songs explained by you but I don't wanna pressure you 😭 Also, the fact that you not just explained the meaning of the lyrics but also mentioned the genre of the songs. I loved it, since many non BTS just like to call every song by Korean idols as "k-pop" and imply that as it's called that it might be "pop", which is totally wrong!

Thank you so much for this. Even though I already loved the album, you helped me see Indigo in a different light. Truly, BTS' solo albums so far have seemed like a 'purge'. An outpouring of emotions and thoughts long suppressed. It's interesting to me to have these songs that not only let me in to the thoughts of my boys but also help me understand much of my life as well. I teared up halfway through this. Again, thank you. Great work as always. Please, keep doing this. You're amazing.
