RMs IQ os 148. Never look for simple meanings. My theory If you did know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. His first self titled mix tape is a slap back at his friends from his under ground rap days who called RM and Suga girls for wearing makeup. He used it to demonstrate why he was a better rapper than any of them, and to lay down his truth. In it isJOKE and DO YOU( the song that says clearly he refuses to be labelled or boxed into any genre). He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self, and he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

My take/impression - RM's been sharing the last few years how he's been feeling lost creatively, lost his voice, lost his handle on what BTS is even, feeling burnt out - in Wildflowers he had the line about how fame became a shackle - and in Yun he also shared how there are/were voices telling him what he had/has to do now to keep his status, level of success, "you're nothing without your team", etc - that feeling of disconnection from himself and what's happening outside of himself - even the parents at the crib - the expectations of others wanting him to perform or react in ways that they want - and then there's spring, it's always been there - my impression is that spring and the woman he connects with actually represents his muse or creative force - his connection with himself that allows him to be grounded and present in whatever situation he finds himself in - and then leaving barefoot (grounded) ready to embark on creative adventures outside of the box or limitations he or others were placing on him.

All the BTS members are always exploring new music, new genres, new art, and new ways of story telling. Its truly a BTS project if you leave a bit confused and wanting to dive deeper into the meanings and vibe of it all. This indie rock sort of vibe is really fun and I really love the whole artsy MV.

ARMY theory is that these are all different Events that occurred to him in various timelines of his life: he was a child to his parents, a friend in a group out partying, a boyfriend in a turbulent relationship, and then a husband with a beauiful family. Throughout, he felt like he was never fit perfectly into any of these roles. In his journey of self discovery he encounters another human, kim minha (the actress), who is as lost as he is in the maze of societal roles and expectations. However after they had a conversation on the couch, he realizes that it's not just him, this is the reality of most people, and life is never going to feel perfect cut to him being teleported to these scenarios again, but now he's happy bcs knowing he is not alone in this journey makes him appreciate life and it's imperfections more. In the end it's almost like enlightenment where he's freed from the shackles of pursuing a perfect life now understands the true meaning of living. you see him walking through the forbidden door with kim minha, both now happy and content (this is only 1theory😅)
