I have the RLS CAT delete with an early version of the RLS Crusher series slip on exhaust. They sound amazing together! I've met Ricky and been to his shop. You can tell he really cares about the quality of his work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend RLS.

Ufff,,, that combination must be a killer!!!! Yes i love how Ricky is working and I like the Cat delete. Hope this video will help him to sell bit more, coz it is a great product.

Hello Martin, I like the sound of the Akrapovic together with the catalytic converter. I drove with the original exhaust and the Lamonster Pipe, it's a great sound, but in the long run and over long distances it's too loud for the ears. And not legal in Germany with the RLS. But again a great video of you. I am happy to see it every time. Sorry, my english is not so good😬

Your English is very OK. Yeah Lamoster is very loud and I was stop in Austria with Lamonster pipe and Akrapovic ON, and they wanted to confiscate my bike :))) ;))))) I like the RLS much better now :) be safe and thanx for watching, Martin

I bought my 2015 used with the 2 Brothers set up, S1R muffler w/cat delete no baffles and other that it being way to loud for my taste it ran fine, then in an attempt to quiet it down I went back to the stock set up and guess what? my over all mpg dropped, still ran fine. Then the RLS set up, no baffle and the stock muffler. Again seems to run fine but has the best sound of the bunch at least to my ears. I gotta say Martin you have a lot more strength in your hands then this 74 year old, I had to use a strap hooked to the spring puller and used my leg strength to get those *&%$# springs off and on. Oh and so far my mph seems to be better but this is with only 1 tank ran so far so time will tell. Thanks for all the great videos and you can never "Have Too Much Fun!!!".

Thank you Gerald. Do i have to mention that Ricky from RLS has contacted me and ask me to insert the baffler 🙈 do you know on which end it goes? Yep, where is the engine bay 🤣🤣🤣 so again i gonna need to play with those strings. Trust me, while mounting, I have used some combination of words, that i even did know tgey have existed and were possible to combine 🤣🤣🤣 be safe and yes, you are right...there in never enough fun💪💪💪

Your video is excellent as always.Your acceleration tests showed very little difference between any of the setups you tried which is what I thought would be the case.I think in the real world it takes more than just a loud exhaust to get power out of these motors.I dont think you have a modified ECU now ,but if you ever get one hopefully you could do a similar video.

It's nice to know that you gained back your torque power in 3rd gear....also I'm glad you're not using the baffle..it doesn't need it since you have the ECU tune....the RLS/Akrapovic combo sounds a lot better than the lamonster combo that's for sure.

💪💪💪 frankly speaking, i have been contacted by Ricky and he asked me to try to insert the baffler. I will do it, and will see if there will be any improvement. Thanx Joseph for your FB posts. I have few modifications on the bike because of you 😉😉😉

Best comparison video yet! Thanks Martin. I have the RLS cat delete along with his Crusher series on my F3 Limited. Love it but next week I will add a Stage 2 Monster tune along with a K&N air filter.They say the tune will make it louder still. Still waiting for the ECU to be delivered. Shipped on Friday.

@@MartinTheVlogger From your video it sounds like your gas has higher octane than what we get. Do they add ethinol? The stage 2 needs octane over 91. all the threads that I have read sound very positive about the stage 2. I had the Stage I on my last Spyder and loved it

@@reshired I dont thing we add ethanol,,, no definitely not. As for the Stage II, yes its something I will do over the winter, coz I dont want to send the ECU now to US

Great informative video. You have done what others have not with these comparisons ! Keep it up! Did you end up leaving the baffle out of the RLS? Did you compare with it in versus out with the Ack ?

Hi Chris, no I did not use the baffler as it is not needed, and honestly, I have spend so much time on doing these videos that I will not touch the exhaust system at least in next couple of months :)))))))))))))

I dunno I think the RLS with stock exhaust sounds great as well. Another great vlog bro

Hi Martin, Did you know that Europe and America calculate gasoline octane differently? Here is the explanation: "In Europe, the octane rating on the pump is simply the RON figure. America, by contrast, uses the average of the RON and the MON figures, called the AKI (anti-knock index)." In the United States gas stations describe the types of gasoline based on the Pump Octane Number (PON). That number is the average between RON and MON. If a fuel is 98 RON then it will be 93 PON -> 93 PUMP . Here in Ohio the commonly available Premium is 93 octane so it is the same as your 98. Love watching your videos!

Emilio, i think you have 998cc V-twin. So go to RLS exhaust website - i have the link in description and search for Can Am Spyder 998 baypass pipe. I would recomend to start with that. If that would be still not enough for you, then Ricky has 2 or 3 super loud exhaust pipes. But i am warning you, baypass and exhaust all together from RLS can make your friends from next door, start to hate you :) ;) :)))))

Sounds good! What front tires are you running? I also need to replace my brake rotors. When I brake the front fenders look like a giant vibrator 🤔

😃😃😃😃 i have nankang in front because i have 16inch wheels and there was nothing else on the market here in EU. As for the brake rotors, look on aftermarket as it may get super expensive - at least here in Europe with my dealer it was 🙈

I'm ordering one today here in Canada (95 bucks shipping but o well). I have a question for you Martin, I do a lot of long range trips across north america and use bluetooth music sound in my helmet with speakers in my helmet. Do you think the sound at 120km would drown out the music in my helmet? You drive like I do, but on the those long boring roads the music is necessary :) Your thoughts?

Hey buddy. Happy to hear that you are going for this RLS pipe. As for the music, i was using lamonster pipe and that one is louder, and i was still able to listen to music in my schuberth C4pro. So you will be absolutly fine, plus, when you are rYding in same speed like on highway or so, its pretty sophisticated and quitet. Hope my answer helps 😉😉😉

I forgot to ask Martin ... Did you install the baffle in the RLS Cat Delete?

@@AalleexxG been there done that. Akra opens up after 4500revs and its lot of money for no sound increase. But with rls it plays like beauty piano 👌👌👌

Back pressure decreases flow! Decreasing flow in an engine decreases power! Fluid flow dynamics 101.......changing the TIMING of when the low pressure transient wave hits the exhaust valve can either increase/decrease power! It has nothing to do with back pressure. If the low pressure wave hits the exhaust valve at the correct moment, it helps pull the fresh intake charge into the combustion chamber for a larger intake charge, hence more power!

Ray, next week i will say what i preffer in new video 😉😉😉 i know Lamonster has a new baffler for back pressure, i have one from big city QQ in lamonster pipe, and i was not happy with that. I never suggest anything. Its not my style. But i can tell you which one i personally like, and why 😉😉😉
