Terrible hosting skills. She is like "what happened to you?" he only went to jail for like 20 years, let him tell his story. She really needs to work on her listening skills.

I think Ruben and someone else committed the murders, then returned to the night club. (The murder scene was only a few blocks away). John Artis was having fun dancing the night away when Ruben and another man slipped out for 10-15 minutes, committed the murders, then returned to the club.. Then John, (having no knowledge of what Ruben did), asks Ruben for a ride home. Ruben says, “sure, as long as you drive”.. Then John, Ruben, plus another man get in the car.. Ruben does not get in the passenger side front seat, (which is what most people would have done).. But instead, gives the front seat to the other drunk friend, while he proceeds to lay down in the back seat.. Why would he lay down? He wasn’t finished partying for the night.. He wanted to go home to get more money to continue partying. His house was about a 7 minute drive from the club. For a long drive, I could understand laying down for the drive.. I do not understand laying down for such a short trip.. In my opinion, Ruben layed down so he couldn’t get spotted by the police. Then after getting pulled over, and let go, they proceeded to drop their drunken friend at home, and Ruben got into the front passenger side seat. A few minutes later they get pulled over, and the rest is history. I do not believe for one second, that John Artis had anything to do with these murders! He was a good kid, never got into trouble. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and these murders unfortunately got pinned on him. That is my theory as to what happened on that fateful night

@@Dusterbugless Hazel Tanis gave a good description of John Artis to police before she passed away. She also told her daughter that Artis and Carter were the ones who shot her. Not to mention that John Artis and Hurricane Carter didn't have matching stories immediately after the killings, and they both failed lie detector tests.

@@CoolhandLukeSkywalkr lie detector test means nothing. The cars were different and others said that they weren’t there. Just like a lot of us back then. We were accused of crimes we didn’t commit

@@Dusterbugless The cars weren't different. 4 different eyewitnesses saw Artis and Carter speed off from the scene of the crime in Ruben Carter's Dodge polara. Also, there were unspent pistol bullets strewn on the floor of Hurricane's car, and in the trunk of his car, under some of Hurricane's boxing gear, there were unused shotgun shells. Just like OJ Simpson was actually guilty, so were these guys. Sure, if you're really stupid and as gullible as a baby, you might be inclined to believe them, but I personally haven't suffered from any severe head injuries, like you must have.
