RJ Corman's West Virginia Line [HD]

12/13/2017 On a bright and cold winter day, RJ Corman is seen bringing a loaded a coal train east from Pax to Mount Hope, West Virginia on the former Chesapeake and Ohio rails of the Loup Creek Branch. Due to the steep grades and curvature on this part of the line, RJ Corman has to bring the loads east in three separate cuts. The loaded coal train is broken into a total of three sections. The CSX run-through locomotives are utilized on the headend of the first and second cut while the RJ Corman locomotives are used to push the second cut and pull the third and final cut. Two locomotive engine consists were utilized in the winter wonderland in the forms of a CSX General Electric AC4400CW, ES44AH duo and a pair RJ Corman EMD SD40T-2 "Tunnel Motor" locomotives of Southern Pacific heritage. Watch as both sets of locomotives work hard to battle the steep grades and tight curvature to get coal over this former C&O line.
