    FYI, this is from Electruck4x4: "There was a change on the R1T back in the 6,000 VINs. We have since re-designed the sliders and all models going forward are backward compatible, as well as compatible with new builds." So, there are not 2 different variations of this as stated in the video.

    Thanks for the heads up. Yes, I’ve spoken to Brenton a lot in regards to this.

    @@evlander Awesome! Love the content--keep it up! Not enough out there for our awesome trucks! Wanted to make a note here b/c I ordered the sliders, then saw the video, then panicked and emailed them lol! But, it's good to know any models are ok!

    I just learned something by watching this video again. Thanks for making this video. Question are you only using the 17mm bolt to mount this running board. Looks really clean and streamline.

    In addition the the bolts supplied, it is also using the 6 factory bolts near the battery pack.

    Thanks for sharing. I ordered mine a few months ago, but due to that frame rail mounting hole issue you mentioned Brenton has had to push the delivery out till June.

    @@evlander 110% - it's a frequent concern and the total lack of any communication for these changes is kinda a bummer for the aftermarket community trying to keep up. Looking forward to getting my sliders on this weekend!

    Looks robust, thanks for sharing. What are your thoughts about the exposed extrusion channels from the reinforced underbody armor? Anything to worry about for those that like to get muddy and dirty?

    Good question and justified concern. Honestly, from factory, those plastic panels didn’t do a very good job of keeping dirt and mud from getting in there. I don’t think they were intended to keep stuff out, but only to cover up that area. So I’m not very concerned. How ever, electruck4x4 did say he is coming up with covers. Just not sure how they look like.

    @@evlander yeah, i'm thinking of just covering it with butyl tape to avoid stuff from getting inside.

    If you don't have an underbody shield, is it worth getting rocksliders?

  • @evlander

    It depends on what kind of off-roading you plan on doing. Rock sliders are ment to protect your rocker panels. They serve as a side step for those who need it. So in a since, yes it’s worth it.

    Thanks for sharing. What made you choose this one over the DCE?

  • @evlander

    @evlander

    I really wanted a kickout. And no one in the market had it. Also, DCE, though a nice design was similar in design to others , such as EVSport. Not saying they copied them, but I wanted to stand apart and the kickout adds that along with its main function.

    Following the installation, have you noticed any difference in efficiency? I would assume that roof rack has a greater impact on miles/kWh than the rock rails but I'm curious. Thanks!

    I haven’t notice any change in efficiency at all. The biggest killer is the RTT and awning.
