The commercial was for Microsoft... I remember freaking out the time I was passing by the living room and the commercial came on the TV. It was so unexpected! I was thrilled. But man, they all look so young in the video, especially CL and Minzy (being the younger two of the group). That was longer ago than I like to think about... By the way, I came here after TY21 Entertainment posted or whatever about this video here on KZread. It's a channel for 2NE1 fans.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but it was also in an episode of SYTYCD when Mark did the choreography for Jenna and him.

Kahdija hit the nail on the head, That is EXACTLY how you're supposed to feel. They were one of the first big "girl crush groups". They were a girl group designed more to appeal to women. They are the cool girls at school that are super fash and popular BUT that also invite the new kid to sit with them at lunch.

They are no longer together unfortunately. Minzy (short hair) and Bom (the one with the poodle) are no longer in YG ENT. but CL (the one with the cat) and Dara (the one with the crazy ass choker) stil are. Dara is more into doing variety shows now and CL has been in a kind of hiatus (she did have a feature on a Black Eyed Peas song). They were and still are the female version of BigBang in terms of their style.

Actually Monroe was right, that WAS a Misfits image on CL's leather jacket. Also Park Bom was wearing a Misfits t-shirt as well.

oh my god. I clicked so fast on this one. 2NE1 are legends and the pioneers of the "empowering / confident / badass women" in kpop from 2009. In the middle of sexy or cute girl group concepts, they brought the fierce and "in your face" attitude with songs telling off men (I don't Care, Go Away, Hate You) and well, saying i'm the best you can't compare (Can't Nobody, Try to Follow Me, Crush). Their stage performances were amazing. They used to mix a lot of streetwear/futuristic fashion (kinda reminiscent of the TLC at the time), used crazy hairstyles and were known as "originals" and fashion icons. They did hip hop + dancepop so well, literally every comeback of them were hits because they were unique in their genre. Unfortunaly, they split and their company made BP with a very similar concept but their legacy always live....

I'm here after Dara posted her 1M video..2NE1 Forever! they started like 2010. This song became famous really quick after their debut. It's 2020 and They are still in good terms. Legendary. Hope 2021 is the year for 2NE1!!! THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST! Blackjack!

I remember, I Am the Best came like a storm in Asia way back 2011. 2NE1 is the pioneer of girl crush concept and the most badass group in Kpop alongside with Bigbang before. They are one of the groups that introduced Kpop not just in Asia but in America and Europe. There may be a lot of girl groups right now, but no one can change the fact that 2NE1 are now legendary and iconic. They just set the bar so high for a girl group.

AKMU, as a Duo, are currently on a Hiatus because while the sister is still somewhat performing, her brother is not due to his consignment in the Korean Military is currently on, so he is currently doing time in the Military, which is a requirement for all Korean Males.
