Rivers State: Anyone that Sets Himself Against the Law is not Creating Crisis, but Felony - Wokocha
It's laughable that some people are calling for a State of emergency in Rivers State against the backdrop of some 'would-be felons' who confronted the sovereignty of Nigeria by abusing the Constitution of this nation regarding local government tenure.

Associate Professor of Public Law, Rivers State University

Some of them resorts to blaming the constitution there is nothing wrong with the constitution the problem is with those implementing it, if you doubt it go to the present Abia state.
Professor wokeocha is a super sound lawyer. He truly knows his onion and has thrown more light in Rivers state matter.

This is very clear and unambiguously stated by this man. These 27 lawmakers shot themselves on their stomach by the affidavit they sworn under oath at the court, stating they have defected. That is a first-class court evidence and document sworn to and the court will never exclude it. They removed themselves from the house with that affidavit and the court will not look the other way in making a decision to protect that court document/affidavit
Very brilliant job by Prof Wokeocha

This professor is selective in his judgment, criticising one individual for illegal actions while praising another for the same behaviour. This inconsistency raises concerns about the integrity of the professor's actions, as intelligence without moral principles can lead to confusion and dishonesty. It's troubling such professor may use their intelligence for criminal purposes rather than seeking truth and justice.

Rufai is gradually becoming a nuisance for saying what he doesn’t know. If I may ask Rufai, how many states in Nigeria are running its administration with caretakers committee? Did caretakers committee began in Rivers State? So, Governor Fubara should fold his arms and allow Wike to have his way in Rivers State in which he didn’t tolerate any interference?

A matured adult publicly declared his position and stand on an issue exercising his constitutional and stated the reason why he took the decisions. He was told the implications of his actions, he is now disturbing public while the law shouldn't sanction him. He is now running to court to say please don't punish because of my actions... That this case is even discussed baffles me. The case does not even warrant a debate, it is clear..
I sincerely admire this professor of law. He's brainy and digested every section of the law with its merits . Kudos indeed!!

The court of appeal will handle all the matter that is before all the court as one that is against the 27 lawmakers. It is called consolidation of all matters. It includes the issue of defection and all the laws passed by the 27 lawmakers. All were brought before the court of appeal. So allow the court to speak before you begin to say what you don't know

You seem to have an idea that the Court of Appeal will give a judgement that even your conscience knows it is wrong
10:06 what the interviewer is asking is different from what you're answering oga The Nigerian constitution clearly states a lot of things but these so called interpreters of the law will always bring about their interpretation to deceive their employers 14:08 In all, I can't fault the media that brings these characters to the limelight to adjudge matters already before the court.
Non sense talk
But the lawyer of the 27 lawmakers asked the court of appeal to consolidate all matters in court and treat it last week. Or doesn't he know that the issue of LGA was part of the issues? He should go check out what the appeal court said and what the lawmakers lawyer pray the court for and the court accepted. Ignorance
@user-re9ph3pr4y

Court can not deliberate on a case that was not brought before it. The tenure elongation case was struck out by the high court in Rivers State, and it will never surface again. The case in court is mainly about the former lawmakers who defected from their party to another party and thereby lost their seats. This is case in the court of appeal and the laws they have passed since they defected to another party. These are the cases in the court of appeal.

The so called former lawmakers went to court and swore affidavits confirming their defections to another party. Even for them to come back to deny what they stated in their affidavits amounts to perjury. Which is a crime of its own and has jail term for that.
This professor is selective in his judgment, criticising one individual for illegal actions while praising another for the same behaviour.
