I have to have a good breakfast in the morning. I think all hotels should offer one. Still a charming old place.

I love this place been going to it for years.. ever since I was a kid all the way to now and I'm 58 years old... I'm going to go back soon .. I got stage 4 cancer and I really got to get back there... The ruins above the office they're huge... But I can walk right out of there go under the bridge on ski mountain road and fish have a great time.... I just love that place thank you for showing that place has been heavy on my heart for a long time

Oh no, you guys let the secret out. Now everyone will be going there lol. We have been staying there since the 1990’s. Love it.

So our family stayed here and enjoyed it, and came back Saturday mother's day weekend. After the aquarium, stopped off at the chicken guy right before closing. Heading back to the Riverhouse, we noticed alot of people all dressed up walking the streets, famous people?? No. Somewhere around the space needle we seen someone famous, we screamed but they didn't hear us because they were driving past but it was ....The Smoky Mountain Family!! We look for white jeeps everywhere we go even in NC. Every white jeep is The Smoky Mountain Family to our girls. Thanks for putting out good stuff for us to enjoy!

My wife and I only live about 1.5 hours away so we seldom spend the night but, while taking a multi day mini vacation we decide to give this place a one night stay on the way home. It does live up to how you described it; it may be slightly old school but the rooms are outstanding and probably as clean as any hotel anyplace! The room prices differ based on the time of year but I doubt you can find an unusually large room with a balcony, gas fireplace, fridge, large walk in shower, jetted tub for this price and be this clean. This hotel and all the staff are outstanding.

The glenstone lodge is my moms tradition. We stayed there last April and we had a lot of fun we were in the same room as y'all were i think or the ine right next to it. The room was very clean when we stayed and i totally agree with what tiegan said about the chlorin in the pool. We swam in the indoor pool and actually moved rooms to one down at the bottom next to the pool and the chlorine smell is A LOT! But all in all its a fun hotel. They do have breakfast now and i loaded my plate up to the gills. I remember a lot of fresh fruit being on the breakfast buffet and theh have an italian restaurant there as well. Were staying at the Westgate smoky mountain resort next month so im excited to see if my mom changes her tradition. 😂

I've been goin 2 the River Chase for years too now thx 2 my dad & I'm from Chattanooga Tn but I'm a huge fan of coming there & will continue coming bk..especially 4 the location & those fire donuts 🔥

Perfect location. I love getting up early, having coffee and a donut, and then strolling the Gatlinburg Trail. No worries about having to find parking. Also, bring your mountain bike...this Trail allows bicycles.

@@SmokyMountainFamily Riverhouse and Zoder's are my favorites. Both are old school with balconies over the river. RIverhouse gives you coffee and donuts and Zoder's gives you wine, cheese, and cookies. They are at opposite ends of Gatlinburg, so I alternate my 2 annual stays to concentrate and explore each end of the strip.

We live in Fl. and our 3 children grew up enjoying The Riverhouse, each summer for a week in the mountains. They are grown now and scattered across the U.S. Last month we decided to meet at The Riverhouse in December, and relive our memories. They are traveling from Montana, Oregon and Florida and we would never think of staying anywhere else. We even have our rooms side by side on the creek, just like the good old days.

Just want to give you a big THANK YOU for making this video. Because of your video and great review, we recently went and stayed here the weekend of November 20th for our oldest daughters birthday. We have two old soul daughters and we all completely fell in love with the place. We come to this area several times a year and this is now a favorite place to stay. The rooms are clean as can be and very large. Loved the private balcony overlooking the river and the staff was great. We love hiking so a big plus was that it was right next to the park. Also can't say enough about the doughnuts, we are still thinking about them. Was sure to tell them that you sent us, and making reservations this weekend cause we can't wait to go back. Want to thank you so much cause we probably wouldn't of known about this place had it not been for you. Love your family and watching your videos.

We have stayed at Riverhouse at the Park since 1985. It was just a few years old. Our first visit was our honeymoon. The staff is great and I have become friends with the maids. They clean the rooms spotless. The rooms are very large. We average at least coming to Gatlinburg 2 times a year always for New Year’s Eve and we always stay at Riverhouse at the Park. Very rustic. I highly recommend this place. Oh, they also have balconies, a lot of the rooms are on the river, very nice and peaceful. You are also on the edge of The Great Smoky Mountains. Last hotel before you enter the National Park. The are located on the corner of Ski Mountain Road and River Road.

I'll definitely have to try this hotel out. Love the location. Never have stayed there. I'm with brittany, I've never seen a pool that was truly heated. Even at dreammore, as much as they cost, I was so disappointed that I could not get in the pool because the water was freezing at the indoor pool. Not a fan of the paneling but I could tolerate it with the cleanliness and the location of the hotel. Thanks for the review

Great video! We have stayed at the river house many times and also stayed at their other hotel before it burned down. Always love staying their because of their uniqueness and the awesome location. Oh, this kinda makes me ill!🤢 We just stayed at the Hampton Inn on Teaster in Pigeon Forge during this Jeep Invasion and paid 178.00 for Thursday nite and 235.00 for Friday and Sat nite! Definitely not as nice as the River House, either!😫😫😫 Thanks for this review because I had no idea this place was so nice and reasonable. Decor doesn’t matter to us as much as cleanliness. Thanks👍🏼

I just now figured how to make comment. I've been watching y'all for a while now. I'm loving the hotel reviews. So happy to see this one. Needing an affordable place in Gatlinburg. I'm so scared to try new places. I worry they aren't clean enough for me. But I trust Brittany. If she says it's clean, then it's clean. Can't wait to go here. My problem is trying to walk places. I have problems being able to breath if there's much hill. I'd do more in Gatlinburg if the parking wasn't so dang expensive. What is fun that I could probably walk to from this hotel? What restaurants are close. Need a get a way with a friend mid September. We have done most everything in P.F. I want to try Gatlinburg, but on social security retirement budget it real tight. What are some good things?

It’s maybe 100 feet from the strip right behind the last parking lot before enter the park. Next to Bearskin Lodge, Ole Dads Country Store and Nantahala Outdoor Center. There is no signs or anything else recommending a tip but, as you know, tipping is classy lol. Hands down our favorite place to stay when we vacationed here

They do have adjoining rooms at Riverhouse. We love it there. Always so clean and the location is hard to beat. There are also around 15,000 rental cabins in Sevier County to choose from. We uploaded a video a few weeks ago on a place called Big Bear Lodge that might suit your family. Thanks for watching.

Yes every time we’ve stayed there we phoned in our reservation. This is undoubtedly our favorite place to stay. Exceptionally clean and great price point. That’s not to mention the house made doughnuts.
