Growing up I never got the chance to go visit anywhere outside my little town. When I got older I decided to take off and go visit my friends in Tennessee. When I first got to the Smokey mountains I had the strangest feeling I was home. I had never seen mountains in real life until I was 20 yrs old. But when I got there the first time I said to myself this is Home. Sadly as the years went by I never got the chance to move up there and doubt I ever will. But will always consider Tennessee my home away from home.

I drove to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for my vacation a couple weeks ago. I stayed 3 days and let me tell you, I never had such a peaceful and refreshing time in my life. I didn't want to leave, lol. Everyone was very friendly and nice. The mountains and mountainviews were sooooo beautiful! I went horseback riding in the smokies and saw 2 bears, I went to Anakeesta on the gondola and rode on the mountain coaster, ober Gatlinburg on the aerial tramway. I also went to the wax museum that was a trip, lol just to see all my favorite celebrities in statue form and a lot of them looked life like! I plan on going back next year and bring my mom and family!!!

I just recently went to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and my family and I visited Anakeesta, we loved it so much we bought annual passes that last a whole year, I recommend buying them if you plan on going multiple times, it cost nearly 100 dollars to get up there for my family of 4 and the annual passes for us costed around 150 in total so in the long run it will save you more, plus you get 20% off everything, food, ziplines, and the rail runner. Also if you plan on ziplining it’s best if you call and schedule in advance so you have more of a guarantee on ziplining, although you can schedule when you get there, they book up quickly so you most like won’t get a chance to zipline. (BTW the guides were so funny during our experience and kept cracking jokes!)

Just learned that he is a professional film maker. While you can learn a trade, what amazes me is the broadcast/radio/tv voice he's got + the amount of research he does on these places. And the narration is enjoyable. Entertaining and highly informative at the same time. A modern version of Rick Steves in my opinion. My wife and I got hooked to this channel. :) We are planning our upcoming vacations based on this content.

I have been going to Gatlinburg for 20 years. I have stayed at the Edgewater and highly recommend for a short stay if you stay all week get a condo or cabin. If you get a cabin remember after dinner it will be very dark on your trip back up the mountain to the cabin (lots of drop offs). We love to go to Gatlins in Gatlinburg (mini golf, black light golf, laser tag, bumper boats) get the package deal. We also love Crocketts for Breakfast, Smokey Mountain Brewery for pizza, burgers and beer, and we always go to NO Way Jose. Cades Cove is a must EVERY time. Historic Nature trail is right next to town and is a great drive. Pigeon Forge is ok that is where we go and do go carts and go to the outlet mall. There is a very large Flea Market also if that is your thing. The mountains is where we like to spend our time as we have done 30 plus hikes in the Smokies. We have seen Bears in numerous places but remember they are wild so give them space if they get "humanized" or bite you they will put them down. I have seen many people chasing them and trying to feed them if you want to do that go to the Zoo.

It is a self paced walk thru park filled with birds from all over the world. I don't care how young or old you are, you will enjoy this magnificent park near Dollywood. tennessee was so fun !! me and my family went on the skylift in gatlinburg! i was so scared. and the bridge was beautiful but frightening! the first day we went it stormed and we had to go back down and couldn’t walk across the bridge. the next day we couldn’t go because there was a boy that had broken the glass part of the bridge. then we finally went and it was so pretty !!
