Because the CW has yet to learn when to stop. They're the ones that once let a show that came to its natural conclusion after season five run on for 10 more seasons after that. They KILLED DEATH! They had God LITERALLY run off into the sunset with his sister. And there were SEVERAL apocalypses. Riverdale can still get so much weirder.
