There’s no chance that it can beat Meryl Streep, Kevin Backon, John C Reilly, and little boy from the 1st Jurassic Park. I’d rather rewatch the old version than even give the remake a chance. Even if they followed the plot exactly in the remake, Kevin Bacon as a bad guy in the wilderness and Streep as a devoted mother and a OG badass on the whitewater was absolutely perfect. Cannot improve on perfection.

It's decent for what it is; a 90 minute thriller. Didn't have to force myself to watch it so it was good enough. I won't really compare it with the original as both films feel completely different from one another but this is better than a lot of stuff I've seen as of late. Give it a chance.

This movie was great at first! Loved the scenery & environment, but it became sooo stupid after the hostage happened. How the hell is the sister not going to try to grab the gun after her brother and the man are going at it? She had every opportunity to get the gun and she decides to untie her friend and then RUN! What an idiot move…….. that movie lost all its credibility after that scene.

Just finish this movie and it was so bad. They don’t even care to make things appear to make sense . Spoiler alert : The gun was right there on the sand while the men were fighting in the water , why would she continue to sit there and cut her friend, instead of grab the gun and THEN set her friend free once they are in control of the situation. You can tell stupid scenes make me upset lol.

Okay, so I just watched the entire movie on Netflix. It was allright; I give it about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. 7 is not bad. Think of all the numbers that are worse than a 7. I would call a 7 a movie that is in the "watchable" category, but not in the realm of greatness. Something that I haven't seen anyone else address yet: We never saw the rouge gunman actually die. We saw the 2 men go over the falls, locked in combat, and I think I heard a THUD on a rock, but then any visual evidence that he actually died was not included in the video after that. Safe to say his buddy (the brother ) died, as they showed a bleeding silhouette in the water that looked like him after the two guys went over the big falls. But nope, the principal antagonist was never seen again!

There BORING. the ENTIRE POINT of a movie is to entertain. This movie did its job. Plus it had no women's like barbie. Marvel. Dc. Scooby-Doo ..and most propoganda today. Another bonus point. There’s no chance that it can beat Meryl Streep, Kevin Backon, John C Reilly, and little boy from the 1st Jurassic Park. I’d rather rewatch the old version than even give the remake a chance. Even if they followed the plot exactly in the remake, Kevin Bacon as a bad guy in the wilderness and Streep as a devoted mother and a OG badass on the whitewater was absolutely perfect. Cannot improve on perfection.

It's decent for what it is; a 90 minute thriller. Didn't have to force myself to watch it so it was good enough. I won't really compare it with the original as both films feel completely different from one another but this is better than a lot of stuff I've seen as of late. Give it a chance.

Just watched this last night. It was way to predictable and terrible. They took a good movie and dumbed it down in the remake. Awful writing and nowhere near the acting level of Kevin Bacon and Meryl Streep. It’s a waste of time.

Actually i was totally shocked how good this one was... I liked it just as much but because the cgi update it looks way more intense and satisfying, but at the same time, i agree that kevin bacon plaid the villain way better..

This movie was great at first! Loved the scenery & environment, but it became sooo stupid after the hostage happened. How the hell is the sister not going to try to grab the gun after her brother and the man are going at it? She had every opportunity to get the gun and she decides to untie her friend and then RUN! What an idiot move…….. that movie lost all its credibility after that scene.

Exactly what I said!! I just finished it. Like this movie wouldn’t been cut 30 mins short if she had just helped Gray rather than run. Then when she hears the gun….no! I gotta help Gray! Runs back. Two thumbs down🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

They weren’t actually related. The bad guy (Adam Brody and the girls husband in real life) sexually assaulted her when she was 15 and he even said to her “You’re like a little sister to me.” They were just childhood friends.

The 2 girls running off after they take 50 years to untie each other had me screaming…then she comes back for her brother and says “stop being a little bitch” to him 😂😂😂 girl, he wouldn’t have got shot at all if you hadn’t run away like a little bitch and helped him instead 😂😂 I don’t know how anyone is supposed to root for characters that are written this poorly

Just finish this movie and it was so bad. They don’t even care to make things appear to make sense . Spoiler alert : The gun was right there on the sand while the men were fighting in the water , why would she continue to sit there and cut her friend, instead of grab the gun and THEN set her friend free once they are in control of the situation. You can tell stupid scenes make me upset lol.

You’re exactly right. Now contrast that with how in the original Meryl Streep kept reaching for the gun underwater until she got it. The original had way better writing.
We just finished watching this movie and it was great!! I have bad anxiety already and it has me out of bed pacing the floor 😂

Had to stop watching when the two girls ran through the woods while her brother was fighting the gunman over the gun.. instead of them all jumping the gunman while the gun was on the ground .. once her brother gets shot then she wants to go back an help 😂 ppl on movies are stupid .. instead running in the woods shoulda went an help your brother fight the disarmed gunman or pick the gun up off the ground

Don't waste your time with this movie.
Okay, so I just watched the entire movie on Netflix. It was allright; I give it about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. 7 is not bad. Think of all the numbers that are worse than a 7. I would call a 7 a movie that is in the "watchable" category, but not in the realm of greatness. Something that I haven't seen anyone else address yet: We never saw the rouge gunman actually die. We saw the 2 men go over the falls, locked in combat, and I think I heard a THUD on a rock, but then any visual evidence that he actually died was not included in the video after that. Safe to say his buddy (the brother ) died, as they showed a bleeding silhouette in the water that looked like him after the two guys went over the big falls. But nope, the principal antagonist was never seen again!
Why give this movie the same name? Why not just change the name and pretend it’s not a shitty ripoff of a good movie?
Too many idiotic blown opportunity to take down 1 guy villain with simple rock to head (for serious Self Defense only )- especially guy who came to help and villain holding gun was deep asleep 😂😂 besides that I love anything to do with nature 👍👍
