River Valley Campground - Cherokee NC - Oct. 2018
Beautiful riverside campground close to Cherokee attractions and restaurants, right on the edge of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smokey Mountain National Parkway. Great campground hosts, reasonably priced at $43/night (cash only) included electric 30/50, water, sewer, cable, and wifi. No cell signal here, but wifi is fairly reliable. Wifi didn't stream very well but was suitable for everything else. I will definitely return. They closed for the season Nov 4 but will reopen the end of March 2019.

Such a disappointment after visiting R valley every year for over 24 years the campground only takes monthly rentals now with a price tag of $800 bucks. I guess we will have to retire before we can visit again.

Oh no! I was going to go back there this fall
wow--looks really tight! Would not enjoy that. Nothing like dining over your neighbor's sewer hose. There do appear to be a couple sites that are nice.

yes, some sites were small and even the one I had was. But I arrived without reservation taking my chances and got the riverfront one, although small I loved the view. They weren't even sure I would fit in that site but the management was nice and directed me in and I loved my time there

Thanks for the video now I now where not to go. Is it really called camping when you can reach out the window of your camper(house) and touch the next camper.

No there is other plots away from them where you can put tents and its a really nice place in fact iv stayed there many times
