Great episode, Haven't fished Red Scar, although I once new a game keeper turned poacher, claimed red scar was the best part of the Ribble! He said it was tricky getting down to the bank and could be really dangerous. I challenged him about fishing rights , his reply was " the fish don't have borders nor do birds or deer and neither do I!" Good old |George god bless him, " if you want chub, you want smelly cheese!"

Thanks Andrew! Sounds like a very interesting character, I bet he has a few stories to tell. It’s nearly getting time for the old smelly cheese! Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch my video.

Just to fish opposite to tickle trout lol I was fishing in the floods yesterday and it looks alot slacker on that side .I broke my PB barbel last week was very pleased. Had my 1st blank yesterday was so frustrating that I could see barbel and chub under my feet .but just could not get them to feed .lol

Thanks for watching Chris, believe it or not, the barbel in the Ribble are from the River Severn. Illegally stocked in the 70s by anglers who poured buckets from the M6 bridge at tickled trout. Glad you enjoyed the video.

love the videos piker biker. I'm in the Ribchester club and haven't fished at salmsbury for a while now. I was told there is too much disturbance on the other bank with Brockholes now open and also children lighting fires. is this the case? I usually fish Ribchester now. keep the videos coming :-)

The dog walkers fizzled out once the light faded. The local poachers do light fires and fish through the closed season for that matter. It has always been an issue but i love that stretch of the Ribble. Thanks buddy for your support. The RADAC side at Brockholes is much more peaceful than the PA side. Give it a bash mate.

you can fish the opposite bank at Gregson's farm. The side I am fishing is club owned, type Susan's farmhouse fudges into Google maps and you will see the farm. Buy the day ticket in the garage near the tickled trout hotel.

I see that, but you are giving instructions on how to get to and fish club a water. the bailiffs have enough trouble keeping people from poaching showing them how to get there only adds to their problem. We all take records of our catch one way or the other, I think its far better if you`d just said the Ribble its a big river and could have been anywhere.

I am an honest guy who just happens to be filming my hobby of nature and wildlife and joy of fishing. I watch many angling films by my heros like Matt Hayes and John Wilson who film on club waters. I hope to inspire the youngsters of today who are the xbox generation and never get a breath of fresh air in their lungs, as my heros inspired me as a youngster, i hope to inspire todays future anglers. I agree that poachers are wrong in what they are doing and it is a major problem in some areas. Does a shop keeper hide his bread and butter incase a theif steals it? Does the queen wear a baseball cap instead of a beautiful crown for fear of being robbed?...does a racing car driver catch a bus for fear of being hijacked? just a thought. I think the responsibility of inspiring the next generation of anglers is every anglers responsibility. I don't want to let the fear of poachers hamper my chance to inject enthusiasm and inspiration into the brotherhood of anglers across the world. Our youngsters need us!

thanks for that, I agree with most if not all your points, Matt and john do film on some club waters with permission to promote them, along with their own wares. But mainly day ticket waters. It`s just this particular club is a private one with strict rules about access routes agreed with landowners for anglers and this may not be the same as public access. It also has strict rules regarding publicity. Your membership book and maps make that very clear. That's all I meant on this matter. The problem with putting or videos out there, we can open our selves to all critics. If I wish to add my self to the list I noticed your rods on at least one video, were further apart then Environment Authority allows but you`ve done it now. Keep enjoying your fishing and filming your catches, when the weather is bad and many of us can`t fish, we need to see some fishing adventures of normal anglers. tight lines.
