Good on you for posting this, and being honest about it. Hunts don’t always go perfectly to plan, in fact they rarely do. Thanks for being real. Great stuff!

You really put in the work man. From one hunter to another I have a lot of respect for the effort you put into each hunt and you earn every deer you get. 👌🏻
This is wild I had a hunt almost identical to this one this year where it took several arrows to finally harvest the deer. Never what we intend or what we would ever wish for, but it’s the follow up that separates the good hunters from great. The commitment to the animal, the dedication to follow through on the hunt and make right. Happy that you guys got the job done.
It takes dedication when harvesting an animal especially bow hunting, stories like this one happen more often than we want to admit, hunters make bad shots sometimes. I am glad you stuck it out and finally put the deer down. Thanks for sharing!
One hell of a buck man, and true woodmanship shown as well
You never cease to amaze me, lee. What a journey! Congratulations brother.
Man I love you’re channel. Always showing the prep and work that goes into a hunt. You show the challenges along as you’re victories. Awesome content.
Man that’s so awesome that you guys shared a three-shot deer. So many pieces have to come together when bow hunting. Thankful that I’m not the only one🤟
hunts dont always go as planed but as long as you are making good memories for instence zeus i freaked out abt how big he was
My dad is old school and doesn’t like KZread at all but I was able to get him to watch seek one with me and now it’s like our thing ya know me and my pops have a tuff relationship but this brings us closer especially when he praises the lord ya know .

This is awesome to read man. Glad we could be a part of that.
I just had a similar experience where I made a good broadside shot on a buck, he stumbled and stood there just the same way so I stuffed another one in him, he took off. I had great blood on my 1st arrow and OK on the second. Took me 3 days to find him. That extra shot gave him the adrenaline along with the testosterone levels of rutting buck to get 800 yards. Initial shot was where I had thought it was. Mature bucks are some of the toughest animals alive. I've been contemplating if my 2nd shot was the right thing to do.

Sucks. 3 days later that sucker was probably rancid. I know that if I leave one out overnight more than likely the Coyotes will get them. So amazing how resilient these animals are. Last year I shot a buck at 50 yards with my crossbow. My shot went straight through both shoulders & both lungs. This deer with no front legs working or lungs to breathe ran 200 yards into the thickest mess known to man. I was on my belly going through to track it. When I found him his entire nose face was pouring out & covered with pink frothy blood. Even with the best shot you just never know.

I checked the comments exactly for a comment like yours . I have watched many many videos and it looked like the deer was going down , then they put another arrow in him and its like he never got shot . I wonder if they just wait and see what happens . But then again I was taught that you always get as many arrows in the deer as possible . I'm 62 and disabled , but if I was ever in a position were I got a good shot and it looked like the deer was going down and I could get another shot, I would hold off and see what happens . The deer would have to be really holding on to stand up . I say it now but who knows what I would do .

I have also had bucks where they stood there for 2 minutes after a double lung and I didn't shoot again and the just fall over dead within sight. Patience was the 🔑.

"Deer" in general are some of the toughest animals I've discovered. One rifle season years ago my dad shot a doe that dropped. Then like half-hour later he shot another. Shortly after it was the end of hours so he got down checked the 2nd one he shot that was closer (dead) went to the 1st one which he discovered alive. He didn't have his gun since it was after hours so he cut its throat. Then drug the 2nd one back home and ate dinner. Went back after dinner for the 1st deer and he just went to grab it. Well, it jumped up and kicked the crap out of him. It then ran for another 200 yards through the woods. Adrenaline is a heckuva thing. A few years ago we also found a dead buck in the cornfield about 2 months after deer season. Not sure where it came from as we'd never seen it on a camera or anything before or when it got there, but when we found it had been there for a while since it was literally just skin and bones. Well upon investigation we saw it was missing one of its front feet that was then covered in a ball of mud from using it to walk. We assume it got shot off during the rifle season, but don't know for sure. None of the neighbors nearby had shot at it so it would have had to have walked for quite some time.

What a great harvest and an awesome show of sportsmanship. As a hunter, you don’t always put the perfect shot on an animal and I love to see someone make such a great effort to do right by the animal. Congrats sir, you earned it
Congratulations on your big buck 🦌 , Lee .. don’t let that get you down .. one heck of a hunt for sure .
Kudos on not falling in the water. That is a small kayak for two men and a buck.I always wondered if you could do that or not, without tipping.Had to be real iffy.Cograts on the buck.
Kudos for getting it done in challenging circumstances. It’s not a situation we want as hunters but a reality. I’ve been there myself albeit not a stud like yours. Keep the vids coming mate.
Nice one Lee! You showed a good example by showing the necessity to track slow and take your time for another shot. Always enjoy ya'lls videos.
Awesome story. They aren't always picture perfect but it's always great to see the everything come around in the end!
I have so much respect for how tough these animals are... what a stud.
Man I love the energy and passion you have. Definitely gives positive motivation to get out and work hard at getting some deer next season!
So glad you guys are real. Love your videos. I'm 60 and just got into hunting last year. Thanks!!
Major Props for showing this! many years ago when hunts were on vhs tapes in the infancy of deer hunting shows, this would have never been seen. Congratulations. mad Respect 🙏
Such good advice about the second shot, especially when it comes to elk with a bow. It isn't over until you have your hands on them. Deer and elk can be incredibly tough sometimes. Congratulations on a beautiful buck.
Congratulations to you sir, great deer. Kudos to you for being so compassionate on wanting to do the animal justice, and following through with it. Keep on keeping on, God bless.
Way to go Lee….That first shot looked good enough to me. I’m happy that you were able to finish the job. Awesome.
Now that's an awesome example of true to life deer hunting
I had the same thing happen this year, not nearly as nice a deer as yours but I really appreciate you all showing this hunt. It's real as it gets!
Greg Hunt what an awesome story you shared with all of us. What an Epic Hunt.
Great looking deer we all have hunts like this one, the attitude, perseverance, and overcome is the name of the game
Thanks for the great video. It’s sucks when something like this happens but nothing but respect for you for showing the truth.
I’ve been watching your episodes a lot recently. Really enjoying the experiences and stories with the hunts. Great content!
Nothing but respect. Nice job and thank you for sharing another story.
The passion and respect he has for every animal he harvest regardless of scorable points is truly refreshing to see, this is what a real hunter gatherer looks like, he does everything he can to humanely harvest the animal and shows his full emotion to thank god before even taking part in recovery. Good man good channel
Sportsmanship, great example! Thanks for this.
I love seeing the whole story! Keep up the phenomenal content guys!
Congratulations, thru all of your strengths to get this done and you did it.
probably the coolest hunt and experience i’ve seen from lee on this channel this was great
I've been following the last couple of years and definitely live the content. Keep it coming guys!
Man what a wild hunt so glad it turned out the way it did congratulations on another stud
What a hunt that's crazy I know that deer and that highway well. Good for you for tagging him, I started watching him at 2.5.
This is what drives all of us to be better hunters. We don't ever want to see an animal suffer. We do it best to make sure everything is in good working order and ready for when the time comes. But sometimes it happens, and when it does, what you did Lee is what everyone needs to do. Go in and do what it takes to find that animal, and if necessary, take an extra shot to seal the deal. We are human, and we make mistakes. But what sets us apart from others is we try not to duplicate our past mistakes, but learn from them. Congrats on a great drop tine buck. Looking forward to more hunts!
I just started watching your channel out of random and I love it you have no joke got me inspired to start hunting hard again
This may not have been your cleanest or coolest hunt but its probably the best ive ever seen you put on. This was real hard work and you kept after it. And that Buck to me would be proudest because he made you work for that. He was one tough son of a gun. Awesome stuff.
Hunting can definitely suck sometime but it’s great to see you retrieved such a amazing buck with those circumstances. Great job!!👍🏼👊🏼
Great things happen to good people nice work Lee
Lee ur a Legend with a bow in ur hand n ur knowledge of deer is amazing bro
These vids make me wanna rush and get in the woods everytime I watch. 👍🏼
You handled that perfectly man. Well done
Good job capturing the ups and downs of hunting. Also good for you to keep after the deer until you had him.
Earlier this season I had a chance on a nice deer, and it took off running. I let down my draw just for him to stop broadside at 30 yards. When you jumped him up to finish him off you did exactly what I should have done so I'm definitely taking notes. Nice deer man
I’ve never gotten lucky enough to be able to put a third one in a deer that I’ve been looking for. Man you got some good luck bro. Nice effort to recover him.
What an awesome hunt! People don’t realize the time and work that goes into this-and getting all on video makes it twice as difficult. Excellent footage btw! Incredible B roll also. I love watching your hunts.
You truly are an ethical hunter. And it shows. Congrats man 💯
I had a hunt that happened just like this. Had to make a follow up shot. Thanks for showing the whole hunt!!!
Super cool stuff. Glad you guys share the whole story
Dude!!!! Congratulations on a freaking giant!!!!! Awesome hunt !!!! Brings back old memories of the same shake down for me!!! Good stuff👍🏻
Glad to see you put it down quicker with that third shot I respect that a lot
Congratulations on an awesome adventure, great deer.
i love this mans excitement
I've been binge watching your hunting videos for a few weeks now and was so surprised when I see the guy that came to help you retrieve the deer went to elementary school with me and is from my hometown such a small world
Looked like 2 perfectly placed shots to me... just shows their will to live! Congrats on getting it done and not letting him suffer!

Neither were good....with his arrow setup...1st was bad forward only one legged it...second shit didn't even penetrate half an arrow. Ig you ain't blowing through a freaking whitetail deer with a compound bow, your arrow setup is fucked...FOC
Sweet buck! Way to show the whole story too. 👊🏼👊🏼
I love and appreciate the honesty of your videos. Keep up the great work.
Yep, no one is perfect and good job on finding that deer and finishing it!
Glad you got him.. good sportsmanship mate..
Nice deer brother! I really like that I learn something new every video you make. Keep up the great work!
Congrats Lee heck of a buck, way to stick with it 💪👊
I’m a canadian Was a hunting guide in Canada Moving to Tennessee for work for a couple years Looking forward to bow hunting and fishing and everything Tennessee has to offer.
Its crazy for me to think that there are bucks like that near me... even though it is in an urban area. Keep up the great work.
This is a prime example of how you can show the real side of hunting on youtube and not have to create some money grab "uncut" website. Thank you for keeping it real!
Awesome hunt, track and recovery! Had to put two in an eight in November when the first was behind the shoulder. Amazing how tough whitetail are! WOW!
Way to keep it real! Kudos. Many probably wouldn't post but I'm thinking catman and THP would be right there with you, posting the good, the bad and the ugly. Awesome hunt!
Incredible footage! I know how hard it is to self film. Great work!
Amazing composure to nock a 2nd Arrow and take the "given" shot regardless of angle. Great job on the recovery!!!
Awesome video and congrats on a great Tn buck! I live and hunt in Tn and that’s a dandy. Also I like the when the cam cut back to you after the shot. Looks like you did a replay of everything in your head. Very cool moment to watch.
Great video and great hunt! You sir are a true conservationist and it truly shows in this particular hunt!!!
I've been hunting Tn whitetail for over 20 years, That is a nice buck for Tennessee!! Nice job!!
Congratulations man heck of a buck
Congrats On the huge buck! That’s incredible!
Congratulations Lee, great buck. Love the content guys, keep up the good work.
Glad you were able to get the follow up shot and get him! Obviously I hope a situation like this never happens, but when it does I would be interested to see you show where the shots ended up hitting and what damage the different shots did to the deer. I think it is good learning experience to examine what actually ended up happening after the fact. I think it would help you as well as viewers learn that much more about the situation.

Read my mind, as much as I watch hunting content for entertainment value, it's what I can glean from the experience that I value most. I feel left hanging when someone doesn't go through each shot, inspect the arrows, talk about what they found when they cleaned the animal, etc. I get it, SeekOne chases the story in a more cinematic way, and do a great job with that; I just wish there was some kind of breakdown. Instead I'm sitting here trying to go frame by frame on youtube and postulating what those first two arrows hit.

What an adventure with some yakn involved! Great job!
Both of those shots looked pretty good to me, I can't believe he was still alive! Nice work on the stalk and getting a 3rd one in him. Awesome buck.
Excellent video story and above all success. Thank you so much for spending time sharing, explaining and calmly telling the story. It makes the story fun to watch unfold whether it's a successful harvest or NOT! God Bless brotha'
Congratulations brother you never gave up you were so discouraged but you never gave up
Insane, congrats Lee
Awesome to see. Got my drop tine buck thanksgiving morning. 12 inch drop tine on one side. Hard to believe it’s even real.
Awesome brother. It will happen if you hunt long enough. Thanks for being real
no question about it this is the best hunting channel man.
Great Tennessee buck...thank you for the hunting adventure..🙏👍✌
One of the best shows on KZread. They are keeping it real!
Keep the real hunting shows coming.
Great way to show people that when it “ Goes Wrong there is a Correct way to Handle it!”
Congrats!!!! That is the only way to bow hunt, it doesn't always go perfect. But you never give up, when the animal has been wounded. Great work!!!! God Bless all!!!!👍😉🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great job posting this. I made a bad shot early this bow season. Made me sick. Tracked him for hours then the rain made it impossible. Looked a couple more days with no luck. Made me sick thinking I injured that deer. Thanks again
I’ve been waiting to see this video ever since I seen a sneak peek of it on Facebook!!!!!!!
Nice deer, I am envious of the ability to go from state to state to hunt these deer.
Lee, That first shot looked real good when I first watched it Looked like it broke the opposite shoulder or leg. You put it right in there nice and tight. I figured on the angle it would would have eventually dropped within a few steps, but you made the right call and put another one in him. Great job getting everything on film and keep in pursuing until that buck was down. Congratulations brother.
