As everyone else has stated, Chillwell is injured most of the season, and when he does play, he is average at best. Defensively, he isn't as good as Cucurella, and offensively, he can't put in the sprints to get beyond anyone without getting a strain or niggle. If we can sell Ben then we absolutely should.

cucurela is giving us more of what chilwel cannot offer right now.

Selling Chilwell doesn't break my heart at all. Constantly injured for the last couple of years and, when he has played, he's been very poor. If we can get a good price, SELL.

I love Chilwell, on his day there isn't another left back like him. His inverted runs and finishing from left back is pretty unique. That being said, he is never fit and is on big wages. I would never push for him to leave but if he does I would understand it, especially with how Cucerella is playing for Spain right now.

I expected Chilwell to have a hard time under Maresca from the get go. There is no way that I can imagine Chilwell successfully playing in a back 3 and that is an absolutely necessary for Maresca's LB. I thought he would maybe convert to LW as I recon he'd be decent at or maybe move to CM but ultimately I never expected him to get many minutes regardless of any injury. Selling him doesn't break my heart at all. It's better for him to go.

I reckon Poch extensive training did make chilli injured + we never had so many injuries!

Replacing chilwell with Calafiori would be a huge upgrade. Ben was class in 21’ but after all these injuries not only is he not the same but also doesn’t fit Maresca’ system

I love Ben Chillwell. Great player. Great guy. He’s amazing in the dressing room and on the training pitch. I think we would do well to keep hold of him at this time. If he has another injury prone season we can re think this next summer but right now I would hate to let him go

Calafiori is a generational talent and Cucurella is finally coming good so it would be mental to sell him now when he's finally getting better. If that means Chilwell leaves, then we're all okay with that. The leadership in our games under his captaincy were not very impressive either, tbf massively underwhelmed by the James captaincy so far as well, as much as I love him.

Calafiori not being allowed to move to juventus is more to do with the way they took motta rather than seeing juve as top 4 rivals

Whether he fits the system is irrelevant, the question is will HE be fit? And judging by the last three seasons, we have no reason to believe he won't be injured for significant portions of the season...

Nope. Chelsea literally were observed by these kids as being a superstar team. People keep forgetting that. I grew up watching Chelsea win. Arsenal were waning when I was a boy. Drogba and Co were supermen. I'm 31 now. All 18-25 year olds know now is Chelsea. Even though we weren't the best for all those years we won hella trophies.

Chilwel won ucl and prem.. most dangerous chelsea been in last 5 years is when chilwell and james fit and inform.
