+Phil C I don't know about son of Zeppelin...I think people think that because his voice is so damned powerful -- probably the most powerful male rock voice since Robert Plant. I think that's the only thing about them that is Zeppelin-like.

I come from a guitar player's perspective so I tune into the musical similarities and hear the the musical comparisons to LZ differently to how you probably hear Rival Sons. But as for Jay's voice, it's phenomenal. It's the best voice I've heard in Rock for a long, long time. The Man has GOT IT!!!! Hands down, no argument!

My first impression listening to their music was Zep, Black Crowes and Beatles thrown in a blender! They are masters at stealing sounds, licks and phrases, rearranging and making something totally new and better! By far, my favorite band! Holiday is a GENIUS and Jay......well......no words.

I haven't learnt it yet, but I would hazard a confident guess that Scott is in Open F# (so open G tuning but with all strings another half step down), since that's what he usually does on the acoustic with slides.
