Rival Sons is an American rock band formed in Long Beach, California, in 2009. The band consists of Jay Buchanan, Scott Holiday, Dave Beste and Michael Miley. The band is joined by touring keyboard player Todd Ögren when on the road

The entire album is so damn stellar Shane. I really recommend that you listen to it from start to finish. Some truly amazing songs on it. Listen to the title song: "Feral Roots" and you will be HOOKED on this band.

I love Rival Sons. Found them years ago on a blues rock playlist in Spotify with the song Electric Man. Their song Open My Eyes is amazing too

Killer Band!!!
First sample of Rival Sons for me. I get the Zepplin groove play between instruments and vocals- also feels like any number of Zepplin inspired bands- Kingdom Come with a lower register vocalist, Whitesnake with David Coverdale or even nowadays with Gretta Van Fleet. Grooves fine enough and maybe Dan Maler talked me into checking out the whole album.
This was also my first introduction to Rival Sons - their music at least. I knew OF them only because they have done shows with Black Stone Cherry (who I ADORE!!...WHOM I adore??? Whatever...LOVE THEM!!!). Of the related artists mentioned, I was only familiar with Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown...and why? Because I saw them open for Black Stone Cherry!! This was quite good for me and I liked it - I give it a 9.5 out of 10! I am deducting tenths of points only because 2 of the dudes look like models for W.B. Mason branding who side-hustle in a Village People tribute act....

First time I saw these boys was in Chicago when they were opening for Sabbath’s farewell tour. These boys reached into the ether and managed to tap into the very soul of Led Zeppelin. There’s a cover band some folks think is great. Meh… Rival Sons is so much better in so many ways and talents
