Riva Aquarama special at the Lago Maggiore, a low flying bird.

On invitation I had a go with this beautyfull boat at the Lago Maggiore in Italy. What a ship and what a power. There are 2 x Lamborgini engines in this one, that is why the name Special. I could have been on the boat all day long but there was so much else to do. I felt like low flying. We only did half speed which is more than enough for me.

R L Pedder my father had one of these Riva Aquarama power boat out in Monticarlo where we lived he had a holiday resort in St Tropez oh what a wonder life we have had my dad was a Eastend boy who is just finishing a book of his life ,respect Gary Pedder

Bonjour Raphaël, Yes it was a dream come through, really enjoyed the ride, also it wasn`t steam this time. The speed was approx. 45 KM but the owner told me that 80 must be possible, but than you need a tanker besides you on the lake, to tip you up.:) :) Kind Regards, Bram

@@MrBramMoos the 'Special' was build in the time Riva was part of Vickers/RR. as 'special' materials were used on the same quality level of RR and the design from the Aquarama was uplifted/extended, hence the model name 'Special' the engines are GM 454's. 0nly 1 Aquarama has been bought by Lamborgini himself, whom he fitted with his own v12 engines.
