I'm nearly 60 and agree with you and the others who say that we had the best of disco start to end. The new disco music's got something missing and that's EXCITEMENT for one thing, it all seems so flat and soulless.

This is what people who are now in their 60s listened to as teenagers…I know I did….This has the summer of 1976 ALL OVER IT! I first heard this playing on the boardwalk in Coney Island….People were dancing to it like crazy! I ran out and bought the album in Manhattan at a place called: “Downstairs Records”.

I believe time is an illusion. If someone wanted to fire up vintage multi track tape machines and produce this kind of music it could absolutely be done. It might be a commercial waste of time but who cares? I think the hardest part of recording this songs is that deep talking man who says "that's the way I like it". WHAT a voice!

This will always remind me of my teens in 79 and 80 going to spain 🇪🇸 ♥ where I had the most magical times listening to gentle feelgood songs like this in the discotheques and meeting the most fantastic people and sweet gorgeous friendly girls and wonderful places to visit........seriously cannot believe I'm 60 this year !!....I'll tell u people life goes incredibly quick so make the most of it !!.....God bless b kind to each other ❤ love animals ❤ and yourself ❤

What a great classic. The short version was the most played so people think the long version is just parts being repeated, WRONG!! Back than all discs ran from 8:00 to 15:00, us DJs loved it especially on the radio when it gave us time to smoke one up lol. This is a very cleaver song, taking bits and pieces from other major hits. One of my all time favorites and a big smash in Boston back than and always great to hear because it just puts you in a great mood!!

Disco era of mid-late 70s was certainly unique; I was in the military service for most of it, and the music naturally connects with that time, fondly. This tune sort of ties it all together, in spirit. Too bad it didn't come out a year or so later, it could have included more examples of the genre.

Great track and still got it on 7". Reminds me of boogieing around the London Discos when it was FUN FUN FUN and everybody smiled. Hey and I remember BT Express too. I hear a lot of UK Clubs are playing this music again probably due to HEART FM Club Classics on Sat night. Blimey...which was the best DISCO in YOUR town I wonder? The era was awesome. People would dress up, dance together and freestyle, have a great attitude towards each other, the sometimes dance lines too. Very social place to be at a real disco with great orchestrations in the music. Still have dico CDs at home.

I first heard this on my Honeymoon and discovered the reason it wasn't played in the UK was because of Donna Summer and love to love you! So I brought this and the album Love to Love You! Eventually the BBC relented and this took off! My children are now in their Forties and love this and of course so do I!!

I'm nearly 60 and agree with you and the others who say that we had the best of disco start to end. The new disco music's got something missing and that's EXCITEMENT for one thing, it all seems so flat and soulless.

When you’re in your 60s and still loving the music of your teenage years. What a vibe! I remember every song. It’s a blessing for sure!!! What a warmup for dem 80s. #foreveryoung

This is what people who are now in their 60s listened to as teenagers…I know I did….This has the summer of 1976 ALL OVER IT! I first heard this playing on the boardwalk in Coney Island….People were dancing to it like crazy! I ran out and bought the album in Manhattan at a place called: “Downstairs Records”.
What a crackin' band. I'm 56 and remember this era with awe!!!!! I still have this single in my collection.

I believe time is an illusion. If someone wanted to fire up vintage multi track tape machines and produce this kind of music it could absolutely be done. It might be a commercial waste of time but who cares? I think the hardest part of recording this songs is that deep talking man who says "that's the way I like it". WHAT a voice!
Better than anything you will hear on the radio nowadays! This song is GREAT! :)

This will always remind me of my teens in 79 and 80 going to spain 🇪🇸 ♥ where I had the most magical times listening to gentle feelgood songs like this in the discotheques and meeting the most fantastic people and sweet gorgeous friendly girls and wonderful places to visit........seriously cannot believe I'm 60 this year !!....I'll tell u people life goes incredibly quick so make the most of it !!.....God bless b kind to each other ❤ love animals ❤ and yourself ❤

I love disco music so much. I was a very young child when most of these songs came out and a lot of them I just heard on the radio once or twice. But I have bought a lot of compilation albums and fell in love with this era. Such great music.
They moved through ALL those songs so easily. The DJ never had to mix anything. Truly the best song to dance to.

What a great classic. The short version was the most played so people think the long version is just parts being repeated, WRONG!! Back than all discs ran from 8:00 to 15:00, us DJs loved it especially on the radio when it gave us time to smoke one up lol. This is a very cleaver song, taking bits and pieces from other major hits. One of my all time favorites and a big smash in Boston back than and always great to hear because it just puts you in a great mood!!

Disco era of mid-late 70s was certainly unique; I was in the military service for most of it, and the music naturally connects with that time, fondly. This tune sort of ties it all together, in spirit. Too bad it didn't come out a year or so later, it could have included more examples of the genre.

PeteyNola I LOVE that show. I have all five seasons. I wish they made the last season in B&W. It was better that way. I also like him as the Little League coach in 'The Bad News Bears'. Great movie.

The era was awesome. People would dress up, dance together and freestyle, have a great attitude towards each other, the sometimes dance lines too. Very social place to be at a real disco with great orchestrations in the music. Still have dico CDs at home.
